Quite possibly the largest hiring mistake I've ever made. Scott spent multiple months running a "marketing campaign" that never resulted in a single converted lead. Huge waste of money, and we aren't talking less than a thousand dollars here, more in the $5-10k range. Should have asked for partial money back, but wanted to get him away from me as soon as possible after multiple months passed with nothing to show for it but drafts from my bank account.
I made the mistake of connecting with Scott Hagedorn on LinkedIn. He appears to run a one-man business called 'Torch Consulting LLC'. He immediately began sending unwanted spam messsages, one after the other, to my personal e-mail address. They did not contain an 'unsubscribe' button, as required by federal law. Below is the last spam e-mail- seems a little desperate, don't you think?
"Hi Dave,
I wanted to follow up one more as you must be pretty busy. Can you let me know which of the following is true:
A) We don't need any new clients
B) We want new clients but have a system in place to acquire them predictably
C) We want new clients and are open to a discussion on generating warm conversations
