On May 24, 2016 I followed instructions to an offer for a "free" prize that gave a choice for a watch that I would only pay shipping and handling for. The trick was in the Terms and Agreements part...which I missed the future commitment of 1) paying full price after a 14 day trial of the product and 2)some subscription to future "trials" in a "VIP" membership.
On June 7, 2016 a debit for $98.00 appeared on my debit card account (not allowed the full 14 days trial as I didn't receive it until May 31st, and when I called the 800 number to cancel, I was given the notice that the charge was to pay for the watch, which was definitely not worth $98.00. It had not looked like the photo in the ad, and the wristband was cheap artificial leather, that had already come loose from one of the loops. I got the cancellation of subscription, but am still seeking the refund, as they violated their own agreement and charged me too soon.
I received 2 watches after agreeing to a watch for $5.95 (approx), not realizing a watch was going to be sent monthly. So, they have charged $98.00 x2 (total $196.00) to my account. I know it was naive and stupid to beleive for one, but to be sent and charged for another. I guess it was stated in small print and hidden. Secondly, how many watches do you need???
I would like a refund and will return the watches to whereever they need to go.
In response to completing a survey, would receive a watch for $5.99 for shipping and handling. In this case the survey was for Wal-Mart but other companies have been used. They charge the $5.99 and then charge your credit card again after 15 days for $98.00 They do not clearly indicate that you are getting thwe merchandise on a trial basis nand that merchandise cannot be returned after 14 days. The watch sent probzbly didn't cost more than the $5.99. (very cheap). When one tries to call the company advertised number (855-457-5244) you get a telemarketing service and they do not give out any other number and if you indicate that you have contacteed your credit carb=d company about Fraudulent use, they advise dropping or not filing any claim so that the dispute can be settled.
Purchased necklace through publisher's clearing house for shipping and handling ($3.99) and small product purchase fee ($1.99). However, today I see my CC has been charged $98.00. The cost of $98.00 was no where on the description of the necklace. I will contact the companybut I say buyer beware of this scam..
The item was offered as free attached to a survey I completed for Time Warner Cable service. I paid shipping and handling of 5.99 on my credit card. This was on 2/26/16. Today 3/11/16 my credit card was charged $98. I asked company for a refund and all they did was cancel my account. I asked for RMA to send to item back for refund and they stated that since today is 15 days since I placed the order their 14 day trial period expired and they were willing to issue $25 refund. I threatened to have my lawyer call them and they upped the refund to $45 dollars. My attorney unfortunately is out of town doing tax preparations as he is also a CPA. I want a full refund and don't know what to do next.
