Tony Fowler and his livestock scamming MUST be stopped! I was a former member of Mr. Fowler's facebook group called: "Kuntry's Farm Buy Sell Trade Lot" and because Mr. Fowler was the administrator / creator of his group, I was under the impression that he was honest and safe to deal with. My first problems arose when I contacted him about bottle calves that he had listed for sale. He said in his listing that all the calves were in good health, and that he guaranteed them to be healthy. I messaged him on FB, followed it up with a call, and set up a time to come and view come bottle calves that we was selling. Upon arrival I was a little surprised as to the state of his “farm.” It was literally a double-wide trailer with a few acres of over-grazed and over-crowded pasture, and the “barn” was nothing more than a cheap portable car-port with cattle panels on the inside.
The barn was filthy and it looked like the “stalls” (wire and some cattle panels) hadn’t been cleaned in weeks (or possibly months.) I was very alarmed that he had a large number of Jersey Bull Calves that were just a few days old, crammed into unclean “stalls.” Some of them were laying down in their own manure, and when I questioned Mr. Fowler he said that all the calves were “healthy” and that they were just “tired” after being taken from their mother. After he promised me that they were healthy, I purchased 8 bull calves for $150 each ($1200 total). Even though I had warning signals going off in my head, I thought that surely that the Admin/creator of Kuntry’s Farm Group could be trusted. Sadly I was VERY wrong! By the time the calves had arrived home, I could already tell that there were major problems. I took their temperatures, and 5 of the 8 were running a low fever. I immediately called Mr. Fowler back and told him the situation, and he assured me that a low grade fever was normal for overly stressed calves, and that they would be fine a few days. He said if I was worried to give the calves some injections of LA200. I hung up the phone, and immediately got a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. By the next morning, one of the calves was dead, and 3 now had very bad scours (diarrhea) and would not eat. I called Mr. Fowler but he did not answer his phone. After leaving several massages, I got online to send him a message, and I noticed that I had been removed/banned from Kuntry’s Farm Group, and that Mr. Fowler too had blocked me. It was at this point, that I realized that I had been taken for a fool! To make a long and very sad story short, only 1 of the 8 calves that I purchased from Tony Fowler actually survived. He knew that the calves were sick prior to sale, and sold them to me anyway, thinking that he would just remove me from his group, and that were would be no recourse. I’m here today to tell you, that no one should trust this man. He looked me in the eye and shook my hand, the entire time he was scamming/lying to me. There are NOT many people who can do that, it shows a true lack of conscious.
