I Attended a seminar during which the speaker told us about an upcoming 3 day workshop we could sign up for at a discounted price "if we sign up today" . To get the discount we had to pay while registering. At the end of the seminar I stood in line to register for the 3 day workshop . Because I was unsure of my availability I asked the woman at the registration desk if I could cancel if I had a scheduling conflict. Her exact words were "absolutely, just call us" About 6 or 7 days later I found out that I did indeed have a schedule conflict and needed to cancel. I called the company at which time the Tom Ferry rep on the phone told me I needed to cancel within three days to get a refund. When I told him that no one said that to me, he said his supervisor would call me back and see what they could do. I never received a phone call, so several days later I called again. I was again told that I needed to cancel within three days for a refund, and I once again explained that this was never said to me.

Again, for the second time, I was told the supervisor or manager would call me. Again, no call. So I called American Express to dispute this charge. American Express wrote me a letter telling me that they had to process the payment because Tom ferry told them that I had to cancel within three days for a refund. After posting a complaint on social media, I was contacted by someone and Tom Ferrys office and they told me that although they could not give me a refund they would be happy to give me a free registration to an upcoming seminar or workshop.

Now, I live in Boston, and the choices they gave me was a three day seminar in Philadelphia, or California. So I asked if they were going to pay for my transportation and lodging which of course they wouldn't. So basically I would have to pay $500-$1000 or more just to attend a free seminar which I already paid for. In the last and final conversation I had with the rep from this company They said "it says right on your receipt that you must cancel than three days "I told the rep that I was looking at my receipt and I would be happy to send them a copy, and nowhere does it say that you have three days to cancel. So she said, i'm going to have one of the top managers call you and resolve this for you. Guess what? Never received a phone call! I even sent to Tom ferry a direct message with my personal cell phone number and invited him to call me so that I could explain what his company was doing. He's never even bothered to call me. So basically this company has refused to standby and honor what the employees told me. And the irony is they make their money doing business coaching.! They have no clue what it's like to want to real business. They've alienated me and many other customers for a lifetime because of petty bad business practices.

7 Months of coaching with Tom Ferry earned me my worst year in real estate ever. I'm suffering extreme financial hardship because I've earned so little this year due to my coaching expeirence. I began coaching with TFO in February of 2017 to boost my career to a new level. My income was approximately $100,000 per year for the past 3 years. During my "Free Coaching Consultation,” which is really just a sales pitch where a sales rep evaluates your business to find a way to get you to sign up for coaching you could probably do without, the rep convinced me that the methods I was using to get business was antiquated.

He said I was what Tom called a "Fallen Star” meaning a formerly successful agent who now needed new ideas to continue at the level I was at and continue to grow my business. Based on past sales, the rep felt I could easily double my income in 2017 if I did even 1/3 of what my coach told me to do and recommended Elite coaching for $1,099 per month. So, I jumped in and began coaching. My first coach gave me tons of "homework” (I completed about 95% of what I was told to do) and implemented new systems that took away my marketing dollars from what had given me success in the past.

What I didn’t know when I signed up that I know now is that real estate agents need not be a top producer to be a coach with Tom Ferry. They just need to be able to follow the coaching manual and have time in their schedule. The incentive besides additional income is the referrals that are passed between the coaches. The referrals are the true incentive and it seems that anyone can become a coach for this organization. In the 7 months of coaching, I received NO INCOME as a result of what either of my coaches instructed me to do (my second coach I got after complaining about my first inexperienced coach was better but it was already financially too late-the damage was already done by TFO’s poor choice of my first coach).

As a consequence, my income went from $99,400 in 2016 to $36,000 this year. After battling it out with TFO, I was finally released from my contract when I explained I could no longer pay my monthly coaching fee because my credit card had reached its limit and with no results from my coaching, my income plummeted and I couldn’t pay my credit card bills any longer. I never thought I’d be in this bad of a financial position and especially not due to real estate coaching. If this review can help just one person keep from being in my position, the time it has taken to write this will be worth it. About a month ago, I received a call from Rick at Tom Ferry’s main office. I explained the whole situation and the consequences my family and I have suffered because of my terrible decision to begin coaching with this organization.

Rick said he would see what could be done for me and get back to me. After not hearing from him the next week, I called and left messages for him 3 times over the following weeks. I never received a returned call. This tells me that #TomFerry doesn’t really care about the people they profess to want to help and that they only care about the next month’s payment for their poor coaching services. I’ve spoken with other clients of theirs and I am not the only one who feels that Tom ferry has overpromised and underdelivered. Coaching with Tom Ferry has been both heartbreaking and humbling. This is the worst and costliest business mistake I’ve ever made as it has cost me far more than just the cost of the coaching alone. I wish my experience was that of huge success due to phenomenal coaching, but unfortunately it’s the polar opposite.

Tom Ferry nearly destroyed my business!

7 MONTHS OF COACHING WITH TOM FERRY EARNED ME MY WORST YEAR IN REAL ESTATE EVER. I’M SUFFERING EXTREME FINANCIAL HARDSHIP BECAUSE I’VE EARNED SO LITTLE THIS YEAR DUE TO MY COACHING EXPERIENCE!

Extremely disappointed with the TF Organization. I went to Sales Edge & signed up for coaching because the building I manage was going up for sale. I came back and the building wasn’t selling and I was keeping my property management job. I had one call & informed the organization that my circumstances changed and wasn’t able to pursue real estate. They would did NOT care at all. All they wanted was the $600 a month check despite my inability to pursue real estate. They instantly took the first payment out of my account at Sales Edge and within a week I tried cancelling and they WILL NOT accommodate cancelling my contract. The TF Organization promotes caring about the people they coach, but really they just want their money. I feel extremely upset about my situation & how it’s being handled.

I find Tom Ferry's videos and information helpful.

Having that said, I wanted to enroll in the coaching program.

It is a big investment, especially for those like me who are trying to get the feet wet in the business. I was still going to enroll anyways, since I am committed to making myself better and being a better real estate agent.

What ultimately made me decided NOT to enroll in the program is the "coach consultant", or the salesperson who gave me a call for a "free coaching session".

I do understand that it will lead to a sales pitch, but that's all it was. A sales pitch.

The person actually asked me to take my credit card right now and sign the contract online. He kept cutting me off while I was talking. Again, I understand that he's trying to sell a service to me, as I do to my clients and customers. But he was way too pushy to a point that made me decide NOT to enroll in coaching.

Also, I have seen reviews about past clients not being able to get refunds because they didn't attend the Success Summit (which one would need to pay separately to attend). I had brought that up, and the answer from the salesperson was that they are that confident in the program, and never had to refund anybody.

And that was the last straw.

As much as I want to try the coaching program, I am not willing to risk it with false promises. I needed an assurance, not false promises.

TomFerry Core+ is a scam. 12-08-2017 Signed up for coaching sessions, two per month, computer face-to-face. 12-08-2017, $1772 PAID, and 3-08-2018, $1772 PAID. 12-19-2017, First session, Coach Rodney Moser says, we have 30 minutes. What? $591 dollars for two 30-minute sessions a month is deceiving. Coach Rodney Moser, TomFerry do not coach, they tell us to FIND A ROLE-PLAYING PARTNER on TomFerry FACEBOOK.

Find scripts to practice. Are you kidding me? I would like a full refund in the amount of $3554, as finding "role player" and finding "scripts to practice" is not coaching worth $591 month. I have two children in college and barely have enough money to make ends meet. Our coaching videos were not downloaded and emailed by Coach Rodney Moser. During our rushed coaching less than 30 minutes, writing as fast as possible, asking him to repeat. He always said, you can watch the video, later. No video as email with video link did not work.

4-17-2018 New TomFerry “HUB” I’m not able to login face-to-face. Rodney Moser – contact the helpdesk after the session. No, I want to login and get this recorded. Guess what? There is no recorded link. He says it works find on his computer. Susan, it must be your computer. TomFerry online program had not been explained by Coach Rodney Moser nor the new TomFerry "HUB" program. 4-No recorded videos from our coaching sessions. Very disappointed. Deceived with 30-minute talks, no coaching, no download of “recorded coaching sessions.” Awful experience. Full refund $3554.

3-20-2018 Video - nowhere to be found. Finally, 4-21-2018, Coach Rodney Moser sends link in email for: First coaching video with information - zillow.com - make me move..

What seems to be a super positive and amazing person on TV, turns out to be a Hitler of real estate coaching. Never understood, how can people go to bed and be happy, knowing how many people did they impact very negatively. Don’t believe in their money back guarantee!!! Read every word of the contact if you decide to sign up. This entire thing just feels like a scam. They very much overpromsie and underdeliver. After a week of trying to choose a right coach, I finally thought I got the best.

Of course at first, Ferry and the co tried to assign me to the one who they wanted me to be with and gave me some pushback about it. The coach I finally picked sounded very promising at first. He later on, however, did forget about me twice. Every time we talked he sounded like he didn’t really care much. He sounded annoyed and I got the feeling that he just wanted to get it over with. Our last call he forgot about me completely and I was all ready but he took a while to call back. Their hub is a bunch of confusing buttons.

That day I felt that $1,099 a month is completely not worth it. I called my customer service rep and requested to finish all this nightmare. Which he said would be resolved ASAP. Three weeks later still no call, I had to chase them, but the person in charge would just not call me back. It all came to a second charge yet again. That’s where I got very concerned and called my bank to dispute the transaction. The day later I finally got a call. The lady was absolutely insane. Very rude, very unprofessional, said they would sue me if needed. Sue?

Ok let’s do it then! That’d be fun watching how far this "amazing” "caring” "professional” company will go to sue a realtor to keep him in their "success program”. Highly encourage you all to stay away. Not only it’s not worth it at all, but also they make you feel like s..t when you tell them you don’t feel the value. What good can peops like that teach you guys? Another scam? Not sure I That’s how you want to run your business! People like them cannot teach you well, unless you want to make your business about collections and threatens!

In 2016 I was transitioning form a job to a Real Estate Career.I was contacted by the TF organization and the sales person convinced me that with their program and techniques they were going to teach me I could easily achieve a $350,000.00 income in any market. So I relocated my family to a new area and signed up with the TF coaching program. The first thing they gave me was a disclaimer to sign, then they proceeded to give me access to videos and a script to follow to cold call people. They Also gave me a live person to speak to every 2 weeks. The first Person (coach)they assigned to me told me to quit and get a job with Costco or deliver pizzas. Soon after I signed on I ran into some serious life events, some were medical in nature. I tried to get a deferment on the training program or just plain cancell. They did not allow me to cancel and made me complete the program as they would report me to the credit bureau or place a judgement on me. So I completed the program for a year and feel it was the biggest ripoff I had ever experienced. If there was a class action law suit against the Tom Ferry organization I would join it in a second. By the way I never spoke to Tom Ferry and he never actually coached me individually.Be ware of his iron clad contract before you sign up!! Besides the two calls a month, (that are only 30 minutes long, and barely enough time to get anything out of), they over-promise and under-deliver. They are absolutely disgusting.Don't do it!!!

This is a highway robbery! They Did not deliver on the promised results. I signed up with Tom ferry coaching when i first got my real estate license. Young and lost of course i was looking to learn and get off on the right foot. I had a call with Tom ferries team with no intentions of buying into the program because i didn’t have the funds to keep up with it. However they were very persuasive and started pressuring me on the phone to pull the triggger now. The guy on the phone went as far as to guarantee me results in the first 30 days and told me the coaching would pay for itself after that. As I learned, guarantees are pretty much worthless with this company because they make it basically impossible to qualify. I had 2 half hour coaching calls which was incredibly pointless. They provided me with ZERO value!! They told me to go on Zillow and call people. That was their $500 advice. I was so frustrated with the lack of value that i tried to discontinue it after the first month and $500 down the drain. I spoke with the 'coach’ and Tom ferries team and could not get them to cancel. Not only did I lose $500, but that set me back mentally so far that I almost quit the real estate business all together. So now 2 years later, they are HARRASSING ME weekly THREATENING to report me if I don’t pay them $5,000+ !!! $5000+ for 2 Coaching calls that provided absolutely ZERO VALUE!! I recommend you use your money on Facebook and other ads. You'll get far better results than you can ever get through any type of paid coaching. Especially one that TRAPS YOU. They are all hype with little else for your money. Before you sign up for the iron clad 12 month contract, read the reviews -I sure wish I had.

In the time I was coached and told at summit in the last few years Tom ferry had financial gains from pushing Zillow and not disclosing his profiting in ways of stock, partnership, covering cost, of events all are ways of profit for Tom Ferry. Tom Ferry almost bankrupted my real estate business. I am out over $24000.00 from his and his agent ( coaching) and never disclosed Tom Ferry profited. Along with most all products pushed to you to buy Tom does not disclose he has some stock, partnership or financail gain, in said product.

Along with trying to buy his Yelp disapprovals removed, as to show the uninformed agents his real actions. Agents trust Yelp to see if spending their monies are or are not a good investment. Trying to influence the outcome is wrong and illegal.

I am posting this review because I hope that noone else is taken advantage or treated as I have been by the Tom Ferry organization.

I can go on and on about how the coaches employed by Tom Ferry really don't offer the same level of substance and coaching that Tom Ferry promotes at his seminars. They are far from it and this is therefore very deceiving and misleading. I did coaching for a year and tried 2 different coaches who both ended up just having conversations with me instead of doing their job and offering me new tools, ideas, and coaching so that I could improve my business. All for 2 calls and $499 which at one point became 4 calls and $999 per month. I did not make any additional sales as a result of the coaching and I did everything I was told to do.

Long story short, even though I did not agree to another 12 month contract, Tom Ferry's organization has unreasonably charged my credit card without my authorization and demanded that I pay for another 12 month contract. After doing everything I could to try to work it out with the organization ( I even wrote Tom Ferry with the intentions of trying to work this out and never got any response from him), I have had to hire an attorney to resolve this issue as it has been made evidently clear that their only concern is making money and is not helping people, which is what Tom Ferry presents and promotes.

I would strongly recommend AGAINST doing any business with Tom Ferry and his organization. Furthermore, if you have had an experience similar to mine, please send me a message and contact me as I am finding that there are many more of us out there that have been taken advantage of. I don't wish anyone else to be deceived and taken advantage of like this.
