I brought my 2003 ford explorer xlt haven't had a year yet. I had in shop 4 different times since i have toco warranty on vehcile. I was never told anything was wrong with motor. I had 3 oil changes on vehcile since i had it. 1 oil chnage by 5 mintue oil change shop and then other 2 by me. I always used syethnic blend or high mileage oil. Like 2 weeks ago i was coming home the oil pump guage on dash keep moving up and down. I got it home and checked oil pump went out. So since i have covered warranty on vehicle i was gonna take to shop the next day. The next day i went to start suv it won't start. So i called toco they had tow truck show up to take it to shop. The shop called to state the oil pump and timing chain went out and rod in motor. So since its a closed unit i will need a new motor. So i dropped off warranty paperwork at shop so they can call toco to file so i can get vehcile fixed. Shop called me back and requested 4 oil changes documents. Well i gave copy of 5 minute oil change and told guy i changed the other 2 times and didnt have records. I didnt know i needed to have that record to beging with. So he turned in oil paperwork and then toco refused to pay for parts claiming i didnt put syenthic oil blend in vehcile it's my fault motor went out. I had suv in shop 4 different times to be looked at. Shop dont keep record since i didnt have services done on them days. The purpose of having warranty cover is to help when it is needed. I didnt know the company would refuse to pay for parts and services that is under contract. So my suv been sitting in my yard since. I'm a senior on a fixed income. I just want my suv fixed and back on the road.

I initally called this company to inquire about how their services work. The commercial made it appear as though they help people fix their cars. However, when I called the company, they started giving me scare tactics about how if my car breaks down, my transmission REPAIR IS 3k and my transmission is 5k and so being a car owner for 43 years I started to get a little skeptical about this form of selling.

I have owned 8 cars myself, brand new and previously owned, and not one single one of them had an engine or transmission failure. My children and family have not EVER had a TRANSMISSION or ENGINE problem, neither has any of my friends. Car companies wouldn't be in business if they build cars where to TWO MOST IMPORTANT components of the VEHICLE were NOT RELIABLE. Now even if you have an older car with high mileage, what makes more sense?

Pay yourself $60/$80/ or in my case $186 (FOR A BMW) a month AND then IF the car ever does have a problem I have the money to repair it or at least a down payment on a new car OR give it to this SCAM company who is just going to look for a LEGAL WAY to get out of my REPAIR. This is LEGAL, they have enough money backing them because this industry is so profitable that they are LEGALLY ripping US off. This company AMTRUST realizes that if they can throw enough money at this industry comprised of SCAMMERS, CROOKS and SHYSTERS, they can make a lot of money.

You would think being a reputable company, I am very familiar with AMTRUST FINANCIAL, they would never open up a division that completely rips people off. Then again a business is in business to make money and if you look at the very known story of US FIDELIS, you will see just how long these companies can rip people off without any repercussions. If you think calling your attorney general is going to solve the issue and protect consumers from being LEGALLY ripped off, I ask you to show me or tell me how many individuals were locked up during the banking scam that almost wiped out the country?

No intelligent middle class or upper class individual would ever spend one dollar on a policy like this. Wonder why your life is a constant struggle it's because you believe what you see on TV and hear on the RADIO an like they always say if it is too good to be true, IT IS.

I lost out on $1674 because I paid my monthly bill and then my alternator went out and they denied my little $748.99 claim. I don't know what changing my oil and keeping my receipts has to do with my alternator but that is why they denied my claim. I couldn't provide them maintenance records. I don't care how you try an explain that to me, there is absolutely no logical answer other than your company is a SCAM, SCAMMING people out of their hard earned money on the false premise that you will help them get and keep their automobiles on the road.

But as I am writing this I realize the ones smart enough to do the research on a company before handing them a penny is now the type of person who is going to sadly give these scammers their money. Caution: the salesman I spoke too was your typical loud and fast taker, however, he seemed honest, candid and sincere and was good enough to have an answer for every concern I had, which are described above. I knew most of this going in, but this salesman was one of the best I have ever experienced in my life.
