Had an appointment. Arrived early. Four hourse later they got to us. $86.00+ to repair a flat tire. Never got the spare put back corectly and the alledged manger's phone call did little to nothing to help. There is no next time to better. I had to call the Fernandina Beach location to help them find my records in their computer.
On 6/16/16 I purchased tire kingdoms buy two tires get two tires free with the purchase of their value installation package.I have an extensive history of purchasing their products dating back over 20 years. The value installation package consists of one year unlimited wheel allignments and lifetime tire rotation and flat repair. On 6/9/17 I went in for an allignment before my one year time limit expired and also asked for a tire rotation. They told me they had no record of my transaction in the system.I asked if they saw my history of purchases with them and they said yes. They said that they have been having a lot of problems and they would do the work this time. At this time they ask if I have any other receipts.I say no,that this was all I was given. What their employee had given me was a shop copy.So as they work on my pickup they tell me I need an additional $614 dollars worth of repairs.I say not at this time. Then they tell me they wont honor my value installation package in the future because there is no record of the transaction.I assure them that I was in their store a year ago and those tires were installed here and paid cash for. Their reply is,well maybe you did maybe you didnt, and maybe the store manager pocketed the cash or maybe he didnt.
I'm now in disbelief what I'm hearing and being made to feel like I'm trying to pull a fast one and being made to feel like a criminal. They obviously employed an exceptional thief. He pocketed my cash and slipped me the shop copy as the receipt. Then he erased the transaction from the system.I tell them isnt the shop copy what you give to the workers who do the work. How am I in possession of a shop copy printed out on your system for the tires that are on my truck.I get the runaround about the tires not showing up in inventory, then they show up in inventory but werent purchased. Now I'm dumbfounded. Tire Kingdom hired an exceptional thief who knew how to work the system. He pocketed my hard earned cash.Tire Kingdom is siding with their employee thief, not me
Please believe any negative reviews you have read. For every one, there are probably 100 or more that never report or don't even know they were taken. My mom went in for an oil change and they told her that power steering fluid is leaking and could go out at any time. They quoted $1,300+ and used the fear factor to try and sell her something they thought they could get away with. Fortunately we got a 2nd opinion from a reputable local auto repair who said the rack & pinion steering was fine, that there was no leak that needed to be addressed at that time, and that car was in very good shape... bottom line was that we were about to get ripped off. Very disappointing as we had been customers of Tire Kingdom for years. They also did a very sloppy oil change which left oil all over bottom of car. These guys should not be allowed to do business, but unfortunately, there are new unsuspecting customers every day. Please spread the word..
After agreeing to have tires added to my car at Tire Kingdown Gunn Hwy, my phone was left on the counter and I could not locate it. I walked back into the store and the gentleman working who assisted me with the tires said he had not seen the phone. I checked around, called it, etc. The phone was on at this point. Then, the phone turns off and goes straight to voicemail. I check on my "Find My iPhone" App, which tells you if your phone is on or off, and if it is off, when it was turned off. It was turned off 1 minute prior, after I realized my phone was missing.
I ask the gentleman in the store (the one who said he did not see it) if I can check in the car again. He has the service team bring the car down from being raised so I can check. As I'm looking in the car, I see the gentleman come out from the store behind me and place in top of the car, hoping I wouldn't see him. The phone magically appears on top of the car, and TURNED BACK ON. I know for a 100% certainty the phone was not on top of the car. I checked the "Find My iPhone" App again and it was indeed turned back on right before it magically appears.
I ask him why he tried to steal my phone? He ignores what happened and acts completely clueless, "I have no idea what you're talking about". The entire service team likely saw this happen, but also acted clueless and like they didn't understand what I was saying. After a short dispute, I decide not to get the cops involved since I had somewhere to be, but to instead have them not d not continue with the tire install. They lost my business and my respect as a customer who has recommended this location in the past.
When I finally got in contact with the Manger of the location, his response was that the employee I named in my complaint (I will omit names from here), wasn't even working at that time. When I described him, he then said that he was in fact working. Without even hearing me out, he decided to side with his employees and left it at that. That's his decision, but I know what happened. I will not be back and I will make sure to tell others about the criminal activities I experienced at this location. AVOID THE TIRE KINGDOM GUNN HWY. LOCATION!
I believe Tire Kingdom tried to/did scam my wife. My wife bought tires for her SUV at Tire Kingdom in Jupiter. She got a nail in her tire so we brought it in for a supposed free patch. I looked at it, seemed like an easy fix as the nail was not near the sidewall. The guy at the counter agreed. We left the car and 2 hours later we received a phone call that the tire would need to be replaced -- at over $200. I was upset but what could I do.
Then, after being (falsely, I believe) upsold a new tire I likely did not need, Tire Kingdom tried to upsell my wife a new battery when she went to get the car. When she arrived her car would not start. Tire Kingdom insisted the battery was old and needed to be replaced. The battery never had a problem before. I told my wife to have Tire Kingdom jump the car and to come home and I'd handle it. The battery has operated perfectly fine for over 2 weeks since the incident. There is nothing wrong with the battery. Tire Kingdom (I believe) purposefully ran down the battery to sell us something we did not need. I will never go back to Tire Kingdom again as I do not believe they can be trusted.
