Purchased my watch from Timepieces International Co. around 9 years ago with a 10 year warranty. The date did not work so I had called up and talked with customer sercice. They admitted that my warranty is good to send it to Miami for repair but I had to pay small shipping fee so they can send the watch back to me. The return Authrization number 100085 was given and noted on the paperwork going to the repair place in Miami Florida. I had heard nothing from them for 4 months. I called on March the 14, 2017 to ask them where is my watch its been 4 months. They had me on hold for about 20 min, and finally got back to me and explained that the watch cannot be repaired to please select another watch of equal value. I did just that and Samuel in customer service noted it and told me it will be sent out in a few days.
About an hour later Samuel form Timepieces International called me and toled me that the warranty is not valid. I explained to him that is not true it was under 10 years when I had purchased this watch, never mind at least 8 more watches and jewlery. He admitted I was a good customer. I explaind that when I had called Timepieces Internatioan they gave me the return Authorization and also verified that the watch was under warranty. He said sorry his Manager will not honor the warranty.
The watch looked good, so I ordered it. When it arrived there were no directions. Company sent directions via email. Wrong model directions. Never was able to coax functions to work. Final straw, could not gain access to replace battery. Jewlers could not open back either.
Steiger stated to send it to them for battery replacement at a cost of half the purchase price. This for something that never preformed as advertised..
The old adage: you get what u pay for.. Total lifespan of watch, 18 months.
Don't waste your time nor money. My Seiko is ten years old and still ticking!!
