Time To Eat Delivery Service Reviews

  • May 28, 2022

If you take time to look into recent Google, BBB, Trust Pilot (under their original listing) and Yelp reviews you will see current clients are leaving detailed, honest reviews. To hide these reviews from potential clients they have created a second listing on Trust Pilot as well as adding more false reviews and "liking" or responding to false reviews from over 1-2 years ago.

There are several reviews that have been flagged on Google and are in review because they have been left by employees. Sam, Connor, Dunkle (last name), Molly, Arturo, George are a few of the names you will find on several of the review platforms and most of their reviews just mention how great and helpful the (they) staff was.

You can find the same names on reviews for other business names they have used. There are also reviews left on behalf a clients that were done when TTE had access to their accounts. Part of having them help you set up your business is to provide them with ALL of your email passwords and social media access and banking information.

Just this week (May 29th, 2022) there are several clients who had to request to have them removed off their social media admin pages. After reaching out to the CA Dept of Consumer Affairs, it was recommended I reach out to the FTC, Scam Alert Sites, The California Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General, Internet Crime Complaint Center, The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation Division of Financial Institutions and I am waiting for responses pending an investigation.

After the negative reviews started coming out, TTE offered a few of their clients, including myself, some of their money back and they are asking for NDA to be signed. TTE is owned by Desiree Crouse Malek. She has also gone by Desiree Vogel. If you search her business history you will find she has done business as Delivered Goods, Mountain Delivered Goods, Service Turnkeys LLC, DIY with Data Dreamer, and has recently registered more business names to her home address.

If you look into the other business names she has gone by you will find negative reviews that state very similar experiences to what you are finding the current negative reviews on Google, Trust Pilot, Yelp and BBB report. They have recently removed the option to leave reviews on their Facebook. If you view Time To Eat Delivery Facebook page you will see an influx of new businesses in the past year.

You can cross reference and see several of those same names listed on the review sites leaving negative reviews. Those reviews are current and the details indicate they are from real clients who have had a negative experience with TTE and are trying to warn others.

Several of them refer to the charges ranging anywhere from $6500 up to $100k for the same type of packages but you will also find in the reviews clients were not registered by the state to legally operate, they were not trained on the financial aspects of the business and they are not set up properly as a Market Place Facilitator states where they require this.

If you take time to look into most of the websites and business names listed as clients before 2021 you will see most of the links are not active websites or never started their business. In 2018 a negative review was left on Scam Alert under Delivered Goods and the name was changed to Time to Eat shortly after. The claims of being an expert in the business for 20 years is false.

The staff is made up of young adults who went to school with her sons who graduated around 2018. You can Google "Romeo & Juliet On Stage at Tollberry Theater" and you will see Desiree along with several of her staff members in costume for a play they did together. She advertises she has been featured on the Montel Williams show due to her success, in fact it was a paid infomercial with The Balancing Act of which Montel Williams is a cast member.

You can easily find the cost to be on the show and the details just by Googling The Balancing Act. She stated the same about being "featured" in Mirror Magazine. Again, another paid advertisement and claims to be featured on FOX, NBC and CNN but there is no evidence of this.

They advertise as "working with Google" when in fact it is the software company, Deliver Logic, she outsources who have that partnership and it misleads clients to believe it is a turnkey business. In 2019 Desiree applied and received a forgivable PPP loan in the amount of $46k.

This is public information and at the time she claimed her staff made approximately $22k a year. These are not the numbers you would expect for a thriving business of 20+ years since this is slightly above poverty guidelines for a family of 3 in 2019. If you are looking for an experienced business consultant with a professional, reputable background, I would keep looking. Best of Luck!

The following is my Google Review that states some of the same things listed above. I started by trying to leave honest reviews on sites first but once I started to see the fake reviews I started looking in to other resources to get the word out about this company: Time to Eat represents itself as an experienced Food Delivery, Start Up business.

A few Google searches will show a very spotty internet presence over the past few years. They claim their product is turn-key, and they work hard to stand by that by taking short-cuts in the industry and making promises they can't keep. After working with them, I realized very quickly the services they offer are outsourced through a third party.

Included in your package, they offer support throughout the life of your business. Since they are not the software provider, the process to gain assistance is to reach out to TTE and then they have to wait to get trained on how to answer your question by contacting the software company they set you up with. I assumed for the prices of the packages, I would be dealing directly with the software company designer so I could customize my site to fit the needs of my business model.

In fact, they just put you on a platform with several other businesses like yours. So when they present to you, your "customized website and app", it is simply the template the software company offers and you will see several with the same template. They are not educated in state tax laws and this is concerning since the food delivery service is one of the fastest growing industries right now and it is vital to the life of the business to be current on state tax laws.

You will need to hire an experienced CPA to manage this part of your business and it will most likely be an expensive CPA since the industry tax laws are changing so quickly and you will want to hire one that spends the money on continuing their education so that you are filing your taxes properly throughout all of the changes. They are located in the state of CA.

If you live in other parts of the country that aren't bankrupt I would seek out finding someone in your area to help you out. They encourage you to use their name and marketing and require you to complete spreadsheets of your contacts and the businesses you partner with. They also encourage you as you are ready to launch your business, to create a few fake emails to write reviews with.

I assume they would practice this in their business if they are recommending it to start -up companies who pay thousands of dollars for their expert advice. I have worked very hard to build a successful business in spite of being a TTE client. In fact, learning from them, gave me excellent insight to what my competition would be and I just offered my restaurants better service than what I knew was being offered.

Now, as a successful, and still learning, RDS business, I have been witness to how their business model impacts the other businesses who share a platform with them. Their lack of knowledge in an industry they claim to be experts in, backlogs our support tickets by more than 30 days. Unethical sales training has created major policy changes for the entire platform and this has impacted RDS businesses that have decades of experience and have grown through all of the changes in this industry.

If you are considering starting an RDS I would recommend another resource. Choosing to enter in through TTE will make your journey much longer than it needs to be and if you have a great business model, it will take longer to gain respect from your peers because the general consensus is that TTE clients are lowering the standards in the industry and for those that have worked at this business for several years, they don't respect businesses entering in to their market through short cuts.

There is knowledge everywhere, TTE is not "the expert" when it comes to 3-rd party delivery businesses. It was worth my money to learn what not to do but now that I have the knowledge I'm happy to share it for free and I hope it saves some of you from losing your retirement funds, nest eggs and hard earned money. If you are already a client, congratulations you are in an excellent industry and you can have a successful business as long as you don't limit yourself to the guidance TTE offers you.
