Michael Maldonado is a complete and utter scam artist!! Just as I signed with U-build It, he lost his franchise with them. He assured me time and time again that he could handle everything that was originally planned. Little did I know that the a$$ clowns that he would bring were nothing but a bunch of rip off artists just like himself. Also beware of a guy named James Harrison!! Between these two I have lost over 10,000 from what I have had to redo due to their lack of understanding and their lack of any common knowledge!! I have had to replace d**n near everything that they and their "contractors" have done since then.
First off when they poured the concrete, James had his uncles, father in laws and third cousins come out to help get the concrete in place, which ultimately was cut short due to his inability to calculate how much was needed. I had to pay him again to fix his own mistakes. Then when the addition was framed out, they didn't tarp the existing house causing a bunch of drywall and insulation to be ripped out from the existing house after the rain came. then after they finished what I had paid them to do...concrete,framing and siding, I had a professional come in and check things out.
What I found was that everything that had been previously done, had to be re-done. Every d**n thing that was done previously, had been done to piss poor standards! Causing us to basically start all over from square one. There are many other things that these two have screwed us over with , just don't have the time to go into every little detail. These two are the epitome of "to catch a contractor". Please do yourself a favor, if you ever run across Michael Maldonado or James Harrison, please run the other way and save yourself a lot of headache and a ton of money!!!
I worked for this crook for 9 months. He started having money issues that he made the office aware of and asked that we be patient and continue to work for him, which we did. Our paychecks started coming late. When we did get paid some of the checks he wrote were hot checks. The ENTIRE office had to take their payroll checks to his bank to see how many of our checks were actually going to be covered.
I spoke to Twc to file a report on him.They informed me that Michael Maldonado NEVER registered himself to have employees. He wasn't paying taxes on any of us.
He still owes me $3000 for a payroll check and $6000 in commission checks that I was PROMISED I would get in April. We had 3 other people in the office & he owes all of them payroll checks also.
He took money that was to be used to build for our clients & never built. We had many clients calling & coming up to the office screaming at us because they wanted their money. He would run & hide and make us deal with these poor people.
He took money from one elderly couple for dirt work-around $9000-and NEVER did any work. He kept their money.
He is a CROOK and a thief....Do not sign a contract with or work for this man. You will regret it!!!
