We purchased a puppy from Dave Bradford with Timberlake Kennels out of Mary Esther Florida. We paid $500.00 as a deposit online, and $700.00 cash upon pickup. He asked us to pay an additional $100.00 for puppy registration papers, as he registers the puppies himself and does not like for the new owner to register them.
Month's went by with no papers, but many promises of them being filed. We finally called AKC and were told no papers were filed. After another two month wait, and promises of them being in the mail, we filed them ourselves. We asked for a refund of our money he took for registering, and he went off the deep end. He called us names, screamed on the phone, blamed his brother for the mix-up. Said his brother has been scamming people. When we called his brother, Roy Bradford, we spoke with a kinder person, who apologized for his brother's behavior.
Dave Bradford also called AKC the following day and tried to have the breeding rights removed from the our puppies papers. They told him he can't do that; a decision like this has to be made upon purchase. (Dave Bradford is out of control, and texually, and verbally abusive towards customers).
Through another report, we learned Dave sells puppies he doesn't even have, and finds ways to keep depostis, holding future owners responsible for any excuse he can find not to sell a puppy to them. This is why his brother Roy had to stop working with him. His brother's words: "If you are going to treat people like this, then I'm not working with you anymore."
I purchased my eight week old male GSP from Dave Bradford in 2017. I named him Frank. He is a wonderful healthy dog. He is my third GSP. My experience dealing with Dave Bradford was very professional. He is honest and trustworthy. I am very happy with my puppy, now a little over one year old. I highly recommend Timberlake Kennels.
BEWARE!!!! Worst experience I have ever had with a (PUPPY MILL) breeder. I reached out to Timberlake Kennel for a German Shorthaired Pointer and spoke to Dave Bradford. All promises he made me during the initial purchase were reneged on. He would never respond to calls or texts. He also cussed at me and called me an idiot multiple times during our last call. He insured me during during our first conversation that the dogs would look exactly like I was asking for at 6 weeks or he would return my deposit if they didn't.
They looked nothing like I was wanting so I asked for my deposit back. He then told me that I had two choices and that I was stuck with what he had or he would keep my deposit. He then cussed me out and called me an idiot multiple times. He also told me that he was keeping my $500 deposit. For a $1700 GSP you would expect to deal with a breeder with some class. Not the case with Timberlake Kennel. I will also be filling a report with the BBB among other things.
