Back in April 2016 my front windshield was found broken. I called the police since it looked like vandalism but the officer said it was broke but from the inside. I drove it to the Kia Dealership and was told it was broken from the outside so take it to your insurance company. My agent said it was broken from the outside also and I was told they would take care of it. I had to call my insurance company’s home office and I was given a list of names that would come to my home to replace the window. The man looked at the window and came right out and told me the window had not been hit because of how it looked and was spreading upward and out like a star. He removed it and said the glass has three layers and the middle film that holds both the inner and outer glass broke both sides. I call the glass company up and ask the man would he write a paper so I could turn it into Kia America to prove that it was a default in the glass and then he hung up on me at Tim’s Ford Glass in Winchester, Tennessee.
I had to pay a deductable that I lost as well as my insurance company State Farm. At least the man should have written the letter since the car is under warranty but afraid he would have to give the money back for replacing the window. Two said it was broken by someone or something and two said not but Tim’s Ford Glass have told my insurance company the truth so no one would have to pay out money since Kia has all sorts of faults also.
