In 2015 I was excited to use Thrive Themes and purchased an annual license. Buying the service was quite easy. Unfortunately I was not able to utlize the service due to my own set backs. One year later I was surprised to discover an automated charge to my paypal accout.
Similar to another complaint published on this service, there was no email or advance communication from Thrive. Just a re-occuring charge. I was quite upsate with the charge because it went against an account I no longer used and caused some major banking issues for me. Had I been contacted or given an opportunity to change the payment source this would have been a non-issue.
I reached out to Thrive for a refund against the account and they refused. I was quite upset at their irreverent attitude and much more upset that there i was and still is no contact number or person to talk to. The company seems to be 100% adverse to direct customere interaction. I explained that I needed to use a different paypal account. I also decided I would be using their product so I would let the situation slide. It is now one more year later and my account is up for renew. I went to make sure that the renewal would charge to the correct account, and after 4 communications, one of which gave me ooutdated paypal instructions, I was told that my account was closed and that if I wanted Thrive themes again I would have to pay a higher price.
Let me be clear, that response times are slow and their ability to directly respond to the issue has been extremely poor.
In this day and age, this is a sign of a company that should be avioded at all costs. It does not matter how good the product is! Expecailly a company that makes themselves out to understand how people make buying decisions or to understand how people interact on the internet. They cannot possibly have a clue as they in no way understand the value and importnace of a quality personal customer interaction.
I have spent now a few hours and many attempts to actually do business with Thrive. I have also emailed the owner and recieved zero response.
My advice to potential users. Keep looking. These folks do not qualify as a company worthy of doing busieness with, despite the quality of their product... which also is no longer the leaser it used to be.
This software auto renewed without any warning charging me $147.
I don't use the software - and had NO idea I would be charged. No warning whatsoever.
Reputable companies at least send a courtesy pre-bill notice - OR if they don't send a warning notice, they have the good business sense to refund the unwanted charge. It's a real shame - I had much respect for ThriveThemes until this. SO DISAPPOINTED.
Cancel your paypal 'prepayments' - or it will be a costly mistake.
Thrives Themes is a webdesign tool software company based in Switzerland. They ripped me off imo, by using shady auto renewal practices. They lack integrity.
A year ago I purchased their Thriveleads and ThriveThemes softwares. I signed up for automatic renewals, though it was one year ago, and I can't remember agreeing to that. I usually say no to such things.

Anyway, I just received an auto payment via Paypal for $147 U.S. and Thrive Themes has refused a refund.
Depsite repeated requests to communicate, they replied by ignoring my requests and locking me out of the discussion.
I haven't used this software in a year, and had I realized I would be hit with this massive bill for a tool I never use, I would have opted out. However, they do not warn you that a payment is upcoming. Why would they? People would say no thank you. Looking at the other rip off report on this company, I'm not alone.
They do not allow you to refund a bill for $147 U.S. one hour after you are charged--on a year old renewal. Give me a break. Shady!
There is no number to call. you can't even post to their facebook unless it's a comment (They banned me for spamming it with angry comments asking for my refund.)
I suppose this massively successful company cares more about losing a little affilliate money than building a brand based on integrity. Sure it was my mistake to not remember there was a clause a year ago that stated I would be billed. But who cares? Right? My bad! Stupid year long user of their product.
They know they are ripping people off. That's why I'm spending the next week writing about this, and spreading the word. My friends in the media are always looking for outrage stories. I'll tell them my kids didn't eat this week.

Hello Anthony,
Thanks for getting in touch!
I’m very sorry, but if you didn’t cancel the membership (or asked us to
cancel it for you) before the payment went through, there is nothing we can
do from our end, unfortunately. Recurring payments are non-refundable, even
if the membership has been renewed less than 30 days ago.
