I was enjoying my day off when two men (Bryan Thompson & Chris Ray) pulled into my driveway in a chevy pickup with a chest style freezer in the back. One of the men hoped out and stated that there dad owned a local butcher shop, and they were unable to make a delivery due to a customers freezer going out! They asked if i like steak, and that they were letting them go cheap due to there route complications. I said of course and the other guy jumped out and grabbed meat from the freezer and started throwing them on the ground one by one showing the 6 boxes that were inside a case and so on with chicken seafood ect. After going back and forth from there "last" 5 bundles for 1000$ down to one bundle for 200$ and a great amount of pressure and hounding i decided i would "help" them out and said ok to the 200$ bundle of steaks. I paid them the 200$ in cash because they said they would waive tax if it wasnt on a credit card (big mistake) but the meat looked good and seemed to be a decent deal.
..... after putting the meat away in my freezer i went on with my day and headed to my mothers house down the street. AS i got close i noticed the same truck backed up to my mother house except the freezer was missing! as i walked inside i found my 91 year old mother writting a check for 3,289 for what she thought was a good deal on 8 bundles of meat and the freezer that was in there truck (now in her garage). Absolutly not! i told them, she is 91 and has no need for all that meat and she gets meals on wheels. my mother than began to tell me that they has suggested that she give it away as christmas presants and that it was cheaper than hamburger! I then asked the guys how they has 8 bundels when they told me they only had five to begin with one of which i purchased!
they said they had planned on bringing her the remaining bundles at a later date and that she was getting a 900$ freezer for free! I said no im sorry guys but this is not gonna happen and that i wanted them to come pick up the case i purchased. The men became angry but agreed to load the freezer back on to there truck and were to follow me back to my house to get the other bundle. As i pulled into my driveway the two men flew past me flipping me the bird and screaming out profanity. By the time i got turned around they were gone and there was nothing i could do but call the police. The police finally arrived and told me that i would have to take them to small claims due to it being a civil matter. They did not leave a reciept only a name and number of the company, which turned out to be a cell phone i found nothing online except for a facebook page that was linked to goodfellas all natural and summit foods. After coming to realize i was juked i figured i might as well try the meat being it was vacum packed and did have usda stamps on it, and 200$ was not worth what the court costs would be, and if they could even find these scum bags. after numerous attemps my husband man to try and cook the meat we decided to give it to the dog who wouldnt even touch it. After some time went buy i googled door to door meat sells and could not belive my eyes, this was a big problem everywhere and read to contact the attorny general consumer protection division which i have done and also became aware of this web site. If you see these guys please beware and contact Al Perales so we can put these guys outta buisness or maybe even in jail.
