In November 2004 I got suckered into joining the "club" with various offers/promises of several items used in the garden. Their promise was for me to receive different items for testing in my garden and after completing the test I was to keep the item(s).
I did receive the original items promised when I joined, a small bag of small gardening tool. Then I received a package of various full size gardening tools, gloves, a bag to carry the tools in. After receiving and testing several items, I was talked into becoming a "Life Member" I joined and of course the membership fee was increased. I did receive several tools at different times for the testing. There became a problem with receiving anything for testing, it was a two fold problem. I moved, gave them the address change etc.
I received a letter acknowledging my change of address and said testing items would be sent soon. After waiting two months and not receiving anything for testing, I attempted to contact them. I was only able to communicate with someone via the internet/email. The phone had been disconnected. Several attempts to what was happening went un answered.
At this point I was developing some concern because I could only communicate via email, the phone remained disconnected. After a short period they stopped responding to any email even though it did remain open, active and "open."
After a time I gave up and actually forgot about them and then I subsequeintly moved from Wisconsin to Virginia to be with/near my family. I recently got to thinking about this mess and found some not so surprizing bad info regarding that supposed "gardeningClub" and decided to do some investigating and research.
