On October 8th, 2018, I issued a check in the amount of $85.00 for classes that I attended for six weeks in Cottonwood, Arizona with my dog Nureyev. My goal to have him certified/registered as a pet thearpy dog so that I could legally take him into a hospital, nursing home to visit patients.
My check clear my bank on October, 18th, 2018 - check number 1404, documents which I am supplying.
The six classes were completed, immediatly after the classes were completed I found it was nearly impossible to obtain any help or direction on what I needed to do to obtain the documents/certifcation from Therapy Pets Unlimited in the state of Michigan. Numerous emails I composed asking for guidelines and help with the process to Ms. Chase she never responded.
The last contact via a telphone call from Ms. Tina Chase at the office of Therapy Pets Unlimited in Michgian. Ms. Chase advised me that she would not be doing any work with issuing the certification/documents due to Christmas break. After the first of the year [ 2019 ] she would process the paperwork.
I did post a question on a Facebook page of the Therapy Pets Unlimited and discovered that others were experiencing the same issues that I was with getting documenttion after a dog completed the classes, passed the final test and ended up without documents to prove the dog capable of going to a nursing home or hosptial to do therapy work.
Finally in November, 2018 I received a form titled "Therapy Pet Health Certificate" from Therapy Pets Unlimited. I made an appointment with our veternarin to have the form completed, a worming test to be completed, plus a complete physical, that occured on 11/26/2018.
I paid for a complete physical of my dog Nureyev, worm testing, fax expenses at the UPS store.
When finished with the form, I contacted Ms. Chase and this was when she clearly stated "nothing would be processed in December because of Christmas break".
This week I thought the Christmas break had reached a limit, so I reached out with a nice letter to the instructor that taught the clasess in Cottonwood, Arizona and to Ms. Chase.
The instructor/teacher replied that Nureyev did pass the class and he would be able to go into faclities for pet therapy.
I also posted a question on my FaceBook page to see if anyone else had experienced the same issues as I have with Ms. Chase.
On 3/17/19, I received a message from Ms. Chase stating that since I posted a question on FaceBook she was denying the issusance of the certification/documention so that Nureyev could visit in hospitals and nursing homes. I took photos of the notice from Ms. Chase.
I did consult with my attorney on two occasions about this as I felt that something was not right with the process and business practices of Therapy Pets Unlimited.
As mentioned before I have emails from the instructor/trainer about the dog Nureyev.
