The classic rip-off and up-sell after buying a Nikon L840 camera on line for less than other sites. A rep called to say that the zip-code was incorrect. After verifying zip-code he then said that special rechargeable batteries were needed. When told that the Nikon site itself verified that the camera used 4AA alkaline batteries he said that it was impossible, that cameras no longer used regular alkaline batteries and he would include a rechargeable battery kit for $19.99 ("regular price $89.99")
It was accepted on that basis, although with much sceptisism. Two calls made to the company resulted in two rude men replying after very long waits, with one man - with a Brooklyn accent - being among the rudest ever. "It's not rocket science", he said, "everyone knows that cameras need special photographic batteries." When the box arrived in a timely manner it contained a battery charger and other accessories not ordered or needed. The invoice included did not have a breakdown of the individual costs referenced, such as "tax, handling, packaging and insurance" as referenced on the invoice. The credit card company was called and they must now furnish detailed information or be denied payment. Buyer beware.
Note that this company also does business as MORE FOR LESS DIGITAL and must be considered as the most blatant, rude, liars and deceivers as ever encountered. Don't hesitate to complain not only to the BBB of the state involved, but also the the Attorney General of your state and the state, likely New York, where it occured.
Called them no explanation just it's comming .Camera comes 3 days later invoice $388.95 the price I paid on the internet with them $269 !!! i call they charged me $127.00 for the charger and the battery that comes in the box by NIKON there invoice doesn't have thoes charges on it.I told them you don:t put those charges on the invoice because you will get caught with fraud !!! you put the camera price at $388.00 than he hung up.
The DigitalPros are rippoffs and no ones doing anything about it.I purchases a Nikon Coolpix P610 for $269 and was promised by JERRY 5 Days.after 8 days I called and they said tomorrow!!! after 2 more days they gave me a tracking # called no such animal. 3 days later comes.Invoice reads $388.95.I called and told them they over charged me,they said we had to charge you for the battery and the charger and put them in the box.i told them i bought a friend the same camera from another source and those items come in the box by NIKON and why didn't you list them on the invoice. You listed the camera for $388.95 because you didn't want to get busted for fraud and he hung up! this is a constant way they rip people off DAILY
