First of all- I'd like to say that in EVERY production I've been in since Chris Berube's awful vampire play, I've met other actors who agreed that it was the worst performance experience they've had in LA, and that they were ripped off, yelled at, and threatened by Chris Berube. Chris Berube begins his rehearsal process by threatening your career if you decide to leave his show (which you will want to do after horrible conditions. Chris lures actors in by saying it's an 'industry showcase' and that 'dozens of agents will come see it,' when in fact our audiences were between 0-5 people each night. I brought in 10 people in total in the terrible 8 week run under the stipulation that I would receive $5.00 from each ticket sale, and received ZERO dollars despite emails and phone calls. I am apparently not the only person to have this happen to. I can't stress this enough- if you are a new actor in LA and you are non-union, you DONT need to be in a production of this low caliber with this little respect. Avoid this theatre and this man at all costs.
