28JUNE21 we researched sightseeingpass.com and were FOOLED into believing it was a good deal. $132 per person. WELL FOLKS, when a scam artist tells you that you will be given further details AFTER you complete the purchase, you better BEWARE.
This "Program" was SUPPOSED to have over 100 "Included, paid attractions" only to find out that these attractions were closed. "No sir, you can not have a refund, you should have read the fine print" What a CHOOCH!
STAY AWAY and pay your way as you go. visit and tour at your own pace and ENJOY the Big Apple... DO NOT RUIN you vacation by falling for this scam.
I purchased (4) sightseeing 2 attraction flex passes after speaking to 2 customer service representatives with the company. I was very confused because on their app the have free entry attractions. See the picture below:
When you click on the free entry attractions it lists numerous museums and activities:
Then for example you click on the museum or activity and this is what is states :
This is what I called the customer service representatives about. To ask them how the app would be able to recognize what your paid attraction is and what your free entry attraction is.
Both representatives told me that their company ( sightseeing pass ) had affiliates with the museums and other tours and you would just be allowed to enter and show the pass at the free entry attractions.
This was not the case. We first went to the MET which is considered a free entry attraction. Then we went to the 9/11 museum which I was going to use as one of our first paid attractions. We then went to the one world observatory which we were going to use as our second paid attraction and I was told I had no more attractions and my pass was expired.
so basically we paid $69 for a 2 attraction flex pass when paying for general admission prices would have been cheaper!
general admission to the MET: $25
general admission to the 9/11 museum: $28
Total admission: $53
I paid $69 for these passes and the only reason I did this was because of the free entry attractions I was told were included !! I am owed $64 by this company. Obviously this does not seem like a lot of money but if they are doing this to 1,000 people .. this is how they are making their money!
this is nothing short of a scam. We spoke to numerous people over the phone to get this sorted out. I even had purchased the insurance on the tickets. They acted like I was the one who was crazy and didn't understand when I had spoken to two individuals who told me the reason this pass is a great deal is because of the added extras from the free entry attractions !
