Booked a room three weeks before my stay on booking.com for The Saint Hotel in Key West Florida in early January 2016. It was the lowest online fare at the time. When we arrived for our stay a week ago, January 22nd, the posted rates were $200 lower a night for the room, totalling almost $600.
The Hotel Manager refused to honor the then current rate saying that rates change. A classic case of greedy business people with no regard for customer service or an interest in gaining a long term customer who would come back time and time again. The service was fair at best, same with food served for breakfast. Room was okay if you like sleeping on concrete. That's the risk you take in a hotel is getting and finding that perfect nights sleep. It could have been easily overlooked with a reasonable Hotel Manager and staff who were more interested in our comfort and happiness rather than rip us off. I got better service at a R** R*** I** than this Hotel. Buyer beware as you're likely paying more than you have to or should!!!
