Have sent many many texts, emails, phone messages, and letters trying to find out what I owed after moving out with no answer. Have never returned a phone call. Very common complaint with all residents.

After I finally got a final bill after two months of asking, I got a bill collection notice a week after that with a threat to ruin my credit! They had already cashed my check!

Also they have never explained why my water bill went from 1.75 to 150 for the last month. Nor will they return my requests to discuss any of the strange items in the final bill.

I always paid my rent early for the 5 years I was there. Ignored years of requests to repair a door that fell off. I know that they are getting my communication because the open the letter or email and take the money.

So I'm making this report due to the apartment I reside in at the moment. My fiancé and I just moved from California two month ago. During the first month we had issues with a family members lady so we were forced to move and find a place needless to say we didn't know anything of Texas. We stayed in a hotel for about 2 weeks and finally found a place to move into. My fiancé and I go look into the show room and they showed us a modeled that (B) which I will not call her by her first name told us this would be the exact same model we would be staying in. Just with an extra bathroom and a little more square footage. So (B) was practically our leasing partner as I would call her cause she is helping us with the apartment and getting one. So she told us there was apartments ready the Friday of and the following Friday available so my fiancé and I was so excited to finally get out of the hotel we were staying in.

And we thought the model was incredible nice and perfect for us. (B) told my fiancé and I rent would be 949 that was due able to the fact my uncle would be staying with us as well. So money was pretty tight because we were staying in hotels and eating whatever we could. But we all three managed to come up with the 200 dollar deposit fee and app fee right along with my uncles broken lease fee which my fiancé and I helped pay (800 dollars)... (B) threw fees here and there and then said our move in fee would be 169.31 and our apartment was not even ready by the day they said it would be so after we complained about that they dropped the charge. As well we asked before we signed papers if they had any roaches or rats and (B) told us no. The pointe at ramsgate was having a 1 month free promotion going on so the month of may we did not have to pay. But once we moved in the place didn't look like the model for 1.. 2. There was a bunch of stuff wrong with it such as; roaches here and there, no screens in windows, holes under the carpet, to my fiancé and I shower pipes busting and not able to using our shower for 5 days, and that's not even the worst part!!! Rats!!!! We have freaking RATS! Not mice Rats roof Rats at that a bunch of them... it started with me hearing something scratching in the sealing.. i called (B) and she said it could be cats because a cat had babies up there. Days went by we called again and she said she'll have maintenance go check in the attic.. maintenance told me no one went up there they don't do that call the fire department it's still scratching and crying. But guess what they went up there and didn't see it here anything but my fiancé and I still hear it... We continually call them and tell them they do nothing... then my fiancé and I was at home sitting on the floor and all we hear is little cries and yelping... guess what he pulls the stove back and there's two rats on a sticky mat crying... I couldn't believe it we called emergency maintenance and they didn't come then the next morning the rats are still there and the exterminator came... We weren't informed or anything of him coming no call from the office or anything... he inspects like a few areas not most then goes to the attic and doesn't find anything and my fiancé and I still hear the rat.. he comes back and we asked if he could Check under the dish washer nope he didn't he just left.. So we thought our problems were solved other than the rat on the roof. Nope!!!! A day later a way bigger one gets snapped by the trap... we told my uncle and my fiancé and uncle both pull out the dishwasher and we find rat feces, holes, and a rat in the hole just waiting to come out!!! We have asked to talk to the manager but nope the manager doesn't answer nor speak to us... the rats are still coming out and multiple rats are in our attic... I have never been in this much filth in my life!!! We are clean people and we are spending almost a thousand to have rats!?!? The hotel was way more cleaner than this!

I have requested to speak to a manager about the miscommunication and lack of communication by the staff here. My issues: I wanted a 1 bdrm with patio but was told only about the upgraded apts priced at 710. After I moved in, I was then told there were regular apts for 640 that did not have the black applicances or chrome handles, and that due to these things, I will pay 710... For handles and black appliances???? I did not ask for an upgrade. Based off their internet site, I wanted the one for 640 and called multiple times asking about it but was told all apts increased to 710. I see that as false advertising. However, after my move in, I was told about the regular ones. While in this "upgraded" apt, I have a stove that is 4" away from the wall and a broken dishwasher. It does not appear upgraded to me. I was not told about a money card for laundry and was very angry that I attepted to wash my clothes after office hours without this info. I was not told I had to get renter's insurance until the day before I moved in, or about the $100 deposit for tv satillite service. I paid but dish could not provide service So i requested this to be credited to my rent. I Just called and was told by Sophie that my credit is 55.12 because I did not pay all that I should have at move in, when actually..I paid 12 cents over what was quoted to me. The 45 she said I still owed should have been waived as courtesy due to wrong info by Becca. Becca was also the one who failed to tell me about the regular apts at 640, renter ins, and satillite services. She did write up my orinigal lease to say my rent was 640, but as I was about to sign, Breanna said that was an error and tore it up. My fire extinguisher has not been inspected since 2009. There were people living here before me. Whose responsibility is it to keep that up to code? Should I contact the Fire Marshal to make a report since its been 6 years since an inspection??? The only positive since being here...the maintenance man was polite and answered my questions about my appliances. Other than that, staff does not return my calls or address issues until I call multiple times. I wanted to also add that I was charged for a full day of rent on the 10th..My move in day, although I could not get my keys until 3pm. The day before, I was called at 4pm by Breanna, saying that I could not get keys before 3pm. I explained to her that I had family coming from an hour and a half away and asked for an exception. She said she would speak to the manager and call me back. She did not return the call. I called the next day, since I had to be out of my last apt by noon for it to be shown to someone else, and she tells me that I can get my keys at about 1:30. Due to having to wait, my cat urinated in the carrier in my truck, then shook it out into my truck seat. How is it that I did not pay enough money..which I paid more than I was quoted..and could not get here on my move in day till later? I paid for the whole day.
