As I have heard from others, they tricked me into the complex stating it was safe and that they had been improving the complex. They hype up the sale when you first meet them. After moving in, I found many disappointments - the apartment had not been cleaned properly between tenants. There were toys in the storage closet so it clearly was not cleaned at all. The paint is not quality as they advertised and the paint job was beyond sloppy and covered dirt so clearly not cleaned. The carpeting covered up rotted flooring at the sliding door. They are supposed to take the vents off and clean ducts between tenants which couldn't have been done since there were many coats of paint that actually sealed them to the wall. I found them so dirty with thick coats of built up dirt as well as toys and crayons and debris in them and in attempting to clean them myself I found they weren't even screwed on the walls, they were painted on.

The fans were also coated with dirt. We were infested with all kinds of spiders that I have never seen in a home coming from the vents. Any communication with the management about this turned to learning they didn't care and were defensive and clearly hiding things from tenants and possibly overall management. I met more people in there that said the same thing as well as many other verbalizations of problems and disappointments. Even met one tenant that was threatened to be evicted with her first complaint after moving in and feeling lied to and scammed. They advertise quality - absolutely not. Everything in the townhouses is junk....brands I never saw or heard of - the cheapest they could get. Faucets were junk and needed repeated repairs - repairs were always a failure as you would request it, get a day for them to come and no one would show up. This was posted on their community board repeatedly and then that was moderated and all complaints were blocked to hide from others. The toilet repair had to be repeated because the repair didn't work which is mainly because of the JUNK they use.

I finally gave up asking for anything. They failed to spray for spiders or follow up on a mouse. I took care of that myself. The next time the spiders came back I had them spray and that barely lasted a month. Spiders were always coming out of the ducts/vents. When I asked for the vents to be properly cleaned they said "they don't do that" meaning once they screw up and don't do it repeatedly they won't correct that. It is supposed to be done between tenants and hadn't been for a LONG time. I learned it was not only a waste of time going to management but they would get angry and irritated if you actually believed what they told you to get you to move in and believed they cared about fixing or improving. And don't dare address the obvious, like the repeated failures of follow up with repair appointments....watch out. Both Christy and Michael were rude - but they aren't before you move in. One of the other office personnel Tasha was rude after moving in as well. Only one nice person in the office. The young pretty girl - forgot her name. The pool isn't always open as advertised because they lack the staff to open it. The security gate for protection isn't always manned and broke down regularly - so the advertised safety was intermittent. I learned quickly that your car insurance rates go sky high there and the crime in there was high. Cops there all the time. Drunks. Loud music. Fights. Thefts. Vandalism.

One night I asked a cop driving by me in the complex about the place and he said "I wouldn't move in here if I didn't have to." He advised me to move out. Cops were there all the time. Always catching kids in black hoodies roaming around at night in places they didn't belong. We caught kids breaking in a neighbor's car and I caught 4 kids that entered a vacant apartment that was left unlocked. I changed the lock on my door because I never wanted them to enter my property when I wasn't there and leave my door unlocked. They were told at the office repeatedly that I did not want anyone coming in when I am not there. Repeatedly they thought they could.

One time I was sleeping, ill and there were two guys at the door knocking. I didn't answer because I didn't feel well. My dogs were barking and yet we heard one say to another, "should we just go in?" That time, they were hustling around trying to make repairs that hadn't been done because of an inspection. Gutters in need or repair and clean. You name it. So they were trying to cover things up for an inspection. A couple of times they had people that worked for them walking around doing inspections with no name tag and then walking across grass up by windows invading our privacy. I was told it wasn't "my yard" but it was mine if my dog pooped in it or even another dog - if I didn't know a dog pooped there and hadn't cleaned it I could have been fined $50. Stray dogs were always coming to my apartment every night. The laundry facility is a pure rip-off. Small washers for $1.75 that were always broken down from overloading. I have pics and videos of them full of nasty water after they were down for a week. That was another thing that was posted often on the community board and moderated off the board. They knew the machines were broken down often cuz they were small and overloaded and still didn't check on the facility nor clean it. So after they sat with foul dirty moldy water - they were repaired and left there after they molded for people to wash their clothes in.

One day they had guys doing cement repairs - cuz of those inspections - and I had to tear my apartment apart looking for this mouse. I had temporarily left a bag with weed killer, a sprayer and a quality outdoor electric cord in it. That was late the night before. I had to run an errand the next day and forgot about it. It was right outside my door on the patio. It turned up missing. But when I called the office to ask about it, they had no knowledge and when I said, I can't imagine what happened to it and listed being stolen as a possibility Michael got defensive......in a complex FULL OF THEFT AND CRIME! That was the last straw for me and I went over their heads. I talked to a Terry Terry (spelling?) on several occasions about the failures and problems. I asked her repeatedly if I had to move because I could see Christy and Michael were deceitful and vindictive and I predicted they would use an eviction out of spite. I had never been evicted nor did any landlord want to lose me because I pay my rent and take care of my place. I have even repaired previous rentals but wouldn't repair this because it was not quality and they had maintenance and you couldn't fix their junk anyway. She said they wouldn't do that. Sure enough, they did! I had cleaned up my yard and even had to fix the cement block at the bottom of the drain spout because no effort was put into setting it to send the water away. I worked on the level of the ground and placed it right. I had done it once and after the inspection work it was just shoved in place again not effective and fixed it again. Me, the tenant when they had maintenance guys that should know how. Many of the maintenance guys were inexperienced and didn't put much effort into things. I met one who cared but the junk he had to work with and the financial limits given made it hard for him.

Check indeed and reviews from employees and that will tell you a lot. When lawn maintenance came in for the spring summer - they were always cutting blowing the cuttings at my porch and personal belongings which I have pictures of. All over my new and nice rug and all over and in my grill and my chairs. They did not clean it. They blew another rug off the porch and didn't put it back and that got ruined by the grass and dirt. I let it go the first week and cleaned it. The next time I contacted Christy and asked her to ask them to cut in the other direction. Again....nothing changed and they trashed it again and didn't clean it. I already knew she didn't do her job so I got pissed because they were ruining the rug I paid for. This went on about 4 times and the last time they finally took the blower to it but the blew the grass up under the rug and everything and left my rugs blown flipped over! When I bitched about it, I ended up with a Demand for Possession in the final 30 days of my lease. A threat of eviction. I had less than 30 days now to plan and afford a move! So since they didn't fix the spider issue or really deserve my business I told them they were not getting another dime! If anything I should have gotten money back! They fail to deliver on their end of a lease.

Terrible place! Bad reviews. Lies to the public to get business. False advertising. I tried contacting the main office - nothing. I tried contacting Albert Berriz cuz he advertises that he is about customer service and quality property and he BLOCKED ME! He clearly DOESN'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS! Rich fake! He has himself all over the internet like he cares about his customers and property! That needs investigated because that appears to be pure false advertising. I am on disability. They got their rent every month and on time - their late fees are terrible. Oh well, good incentive to not be late - not even 3 days but if you are there is hardly any way to pull yourself out. Their late fees show crooks. I needed more time to plan for a move. I was forced to move into my son's who doesn't have the room and wanted to live alone. It cost me my whole check to get out of there and it is still costing me to recover from that with a limited income. What do those dirty people do? JUST SEND IT TO A COLLECTION AGENCY THAT I OWE THEM MONEY! No judge approved it. They just get to SAY IT! No court! Just send it to a collection agency and against your credit with NO PROOF they deserve it. Now I have to pay money to take those managers to court....not the complex because the managers scammed the tenants and McKinley and if I take McKinley they have a lawyer to defend them but it was their managers and their managers weren't doing THEIR JOB THAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO FOR MCKINLEY! So it's the managers that are in the wrong as people! Not as managers! THEY SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR NOT DELIVERING THE CONTRACT OF THE LEASE! That is McKinleys lease. They hid it from McKinley and the public! So THEY need to be held accountable. I have never ever had a rental deal against me nor my credit. Yes, they are vindictive and dirty! And they can't even keep tenants. Between people that don't pay or that don't like the place and leave or the crime - they can't keep tenants and did this to a good tenant just because I didn't want my things destroyed by their services after living with spiders and lies and false advertising and NO QUALITY! They need to be SUED! False advertising! They scam people into moving in there.
