I ordered a reclaimed barn wood farm house table with specific dimensions, that this company advertised on their web page. The information on the webpage showed that it could offer the dimensions I wanted. I Ordered the table, the comany repeated back to me several times the dimensions I wanted,and was told that it would take 6 weeks to get. Originally, I wanted it before thanksgiving. I did not receive it until mid December. It actually took around 10 weeks. When the table arrived at my house, I discovered that it was the wrong dimensions.
I contacted the company the same day that I received the table,via email, to complain that they sent a table with incorrect dimensions. Comany responded via email saying that they told us it did not come in the dimensions we ask for. Attached to my table, when I received it, was a packing slip with their letter head on it. On the packing slip was my original order with my original dimensions. Obviously they had the same knowledge of the dimensions that they offered for the table I wanted.
I took a picture of the packing slip that had been taped to my table, and sent it to them via email. They did not respond.
To add further evidence that this company lied, saying that my dimensions for my table were never offered on their website, and claimed that they told me so, I did a javascript command on the specific web page that I ordered it from. I found that the web page had been modified the very next morning, after my first email communication with them about the wrong table dimensions. The web page no longer had the same information on it as it originally did when I ordered the table.
I filed a complaint against the company to the BBB and Attorney General. I emailed the company notifying them that I had done this, and hoped we could come to some kind of resolution. They have not responded to that email as of yet.
I have also filed with the FTC. I did not notify the company of this, yet.
They will not repond to my emails, and I feel they are covering up for their mistake. Not to mention that they have no intention of resolving the matter.
In addition to all of this, when I filed at the BBB, their was a very, very similar complaint that had been filed against the same company in relation to furniture.
I have all the email communications saved, pictures of the packing slip, and a screen capture of the javascript command and the resulting information about the web page modification.
I would like to at least get some of my money back for the table, but even more than that, I would like for them to admit that they have lied, and covered it up.
