Avoid company at all costs . this is theft well rehearsed in my opinion .
Their technique is as follows :
Lure the potential captive/customer by insisting money is to be saved by utilising their services in virtually any purchases to be made in a twelve month membership ; ( vacuum cleaners . holidays , etc cetera ) .
An introduction fee for the first month is one pound . Twenty-eight days later , a further ninety-eight pounds will automatically be withdrawn from your bank account unless the company receives notification of cancellation of membership before that time .
Here is the scam !
When the customer telephones with a veiw to cancel , the telephonist redas out a number to call in order for you to register your "cancellation" . That number turns out to be a recording service which "promises" to return the call to take your details . The call is never returned ! NEVER ! Irrespective of the amount of messages you , the customer , leaves ! If you call the office they "apologise" and encourage you to make further attempts to leave messages on the recording and then wait for someone from the Cancellation Department to contact you . This to and froing may go on a while before you realise that the messages left will not be honoured . When complaining to the Head Office of this dilema their role is then to request that you the frustrated customer , address an e-mail to them which they may or maynot receive .
After all this , guess what ? The twenty-eight day deadline for any refund , has passed !
Great time delaying tactics , agree ? DISGRATEFUL OF THE UTMOST !!
