We had Sales Rep Bo Broadwater come to our home on 8/30/2018 for interior plantation shutters. We agreed to shutter price of $3175.28 and paid $2381.28 up front and were to pay remaining balance upon installation. We advised we had to have shutters installed before Thanksgiving and Bo assured this would not be a problem. He said shutters would be in, in 6 weeks. I began reaching out to Bo via text on 10/15/18 for status update, he said on 10/15/18 he would get back to me after no response I text again for update on 10/18/18, he said it’s been a crazy week and shutters were not on truck that week, he said he would let me know status next day and never responded again.
I text again on 10/29/18, he said on 10/30/18 he had been ill and he would check with installer, i told him to feel better and thanks. I called on 11/2/18 and left voicemail for status, Bo text on 11/2/18 that there have been delays beyond his control and he would call us to advise of status. He called on 11/2/18 and said shutters would be on the truck that weekend which would have been 11/3/18-11/4/18, we advised we would be out of town and 11/12/18 week would be good for us for install. Bo never responded to that text or confirmed if shutters were on the truck, then we text again on 11/9/18 to confirm install for this week, he never responded again.
This past weekend we did an online chat with The Louver Shop to ask for status and advise of the problems we are having, they said they would send to customer service and call us, they still have not called. I called another # on The home advisor for the lover shop today and they said they would forward complaint and have customer service manager contact us, which they have not.
As of now it does not look like our shutters will be installed before Thanksgiving as promised. Basically we paid $2400 for nothing and believe we were scammed. We understand people get sick and things happen, however there should be someone else in this company that is taking care of the customers if a sales rep is not able to for whatever reason. This is absolutely ridiculous to pay this money and have awful customer service, before we gave Bo money he responded very promptly to all emails and text. We have a very large vendor network that refers customers to companies like this, sadly this will no longer be a referral.
