This guy is a crook

Paul Boronow is a liar, and a thief. My husband and I hired him in a landlord tenant case. At the consultation he made sure to give a good impression, and sold my husband and I on the fact that he was going to represent us, and take on our case.

Regretably, we retained him that day, and we paid in full for his services. After at least 2 weeks of trying to get a hold of him, and see if there were any updates with our tenants, the receptionist said that we had to pay a Servers fee for having an eviction notice served to them. I asked her how much that fee was, and she told me that it shouldn't be more than $50.00 but she said she would call me back with the exact fee. She made sure to call back because she said that it would be a $200.00 fee to serve them. Agian, we paid the $200.00 fee

After that day, he NEVER answered his phone calls, and every single time I called the office, the secratary would always say "I was just about to call you." Every time.. Finally one day I was able to get a hold of him on the phone. He said he had spoken to our tenants lawyer, and that he was "hammering out a deal" he said that he was going to get a settlement signed by a judge, and that we would still have to go to court.

After this, it was like pulling teeth to get a phone call from this guy. Honestly we were up in the air with what was going on because he would return our phone calls, and the secretary would not be able to give us any updates as to where we stood with this whole thing. Fianlly after calling so many times, the secratary finally give us a court date. I asked if he was going to be in the office so that he could let us know what we should expect, where to meet him at the court house Etc.

Anytime I woud call, he would be "in Court" and he did not speak to us before going to court, we just knew when the court date was and basically that was it.

The date of the court case, my husband went to court, and was waiting for Paul to show up. Our time to show up was at 9AM

It was almost 9:15AM and still no Paul.. My husband called the office, and the girl answering the phone said that he should be there before 10AM

Because of Paul not showing up to court that day, I missed out on getting this case settled, and having it be over and done with. I now know that it was his plan all along to not show up, because then, he could get more money from us, and delay this case. All he is interested in is getting more money through unethical tactics! This is wrong, and I wish I had read the reviews on this man before retaiing him. I don't mind paying someone, but for God sakes do what you were paid to do!

Horrible experience, and I honestly feel sorry for anyone that has or will go through what I went through! I can not believe that this man has not beed disbarred from practicing law!

PS: DO NOT pay through personal check, if you do, you are likely to not get any money back if you try to dispute the charge. If you pay via debit card or credit card, usually master card or visa will back you, whereas your bank, will not!
