I was hired as the Executive Chef for this buisness on 1/7/16. On 5/29/16, the Owner Jim Vandergeest sat me down and said he was cloing the buisness at the end of the day. He agreed verbally to pay me a severance package of two month at the time of the meeting, and said I would have the check with in the week.
On 6/1/16, I recieved text mesages from Jim Vandergeest refusing to pay the agreed upon serveance package. He eneded our conversation by telling me never to contact him again.
