horrible customer service

Brian apparently does not do well when the customer has a problem, his demeaner is pathetic for a customer service oriented business, I called about an engine issue from one we purchased from his company, he was RUDE beyond belief.

I purchased a re manufactured motor off of eBay, which I had researched for a number of weeks, the motor I decided on was advertised well and came with a warranty...I waited 3 weeks for it to arrive to the mechanic shop and upon arrival my mechanic called me and said he had concerns about the motor...ie..there was severe rusting on the crank shaft and pilot bearings. ..I immediately called the Engine Depot and a guy named Brian answered. I shared my concerns about that product and he laughed at me and said that I didn't know what I was talking about and that rust is not a concern...My mechanic then called Brian and Brian began yelling at him saying that "he should have never told me about the rust" and that if my mechanic had a problem then Brian would "see him in court". my truck was my only form of transportation so I went ahead with the install...every week there was a new problem, gasket leaks, timing, and every time I took it back to my mechanic he would tell me that I was sold a bad motor... At this point I had spent $1600 for the motor, $400 core fee, $1500 install and $1000 for timing, pumps, thermostat, plugs, wires, clutch, radiator ect....and week in and week out I was nickel and diminig this project. As well I had shipped back the engine core and never heard back from The Engine Depot about my deposit being refunded...I emailed several times and never got a response nor my money. 9 months later, less than 5000 miles I decided to take a trip to California with my family in my truck, I had just gotten another oil change and headed out..While driving through the Mohave Dessert going 85 mph the bottom ball bearings went out in the motor, it through the rod through the block and now I was stranded in Barstow California. ..I immediately contacted Brian and told him what had just happened and once again he laughed at me and told me that it was probably my fault because I didn't change the oil...needless to say I was speechless. .. I had the truck towed to the nearest mechanic...I had to spend $500 on airplane tickets to fly home then I had to go finance a vehicle because I no longer had transportation. . So now I pay the new mechanic $2000 to do an engine swap and spend $200 to have the bad motor shipped back to The Engine Depot...the motor shipped out November 8th, and is still waiting to be received by The Engine Depot because Brian is refusing to receive it during the times the trucking company arrives...I called Brian to beg him to just receive the motor back...his response to me was "you can send it back to Barstow as far as I am concerned" then I asked for the owners name of the Engine Depot and he refused to provide me with any information then he proceeded to tell me that I was acting just like Donald Trump... I have worked as a manager in customer service for 20 years and I have NEVER experienced such a vile person and a company that clearly is selling miss represented products...they need to be sued for false advertising. I am now over $5000 invested into this and still do not have a new motor.

Purchased a 2azfe engine from him. Was polite in begining but very aggressive and rude at end. Engine was dirty with oil buildup when opened. He seran wraps to make new but motors are used just painted. Engine was installed and engine ran good but had vvti issues. Took to scion and they diagnosed as bad valvetrain. Called november 10 and asked if i could take engine core. He nicely replied to me with yes. Drove 3 hours to return core and when i got there he said money would be returned 7 days after. Guys a ripp off and will proceed with legal actions as im not the only one he has ripped off
