It wasn't because they sent the wrong thing; it was because their product is misrepresented. They had me prove it by sending pictures, which was time consuming.
They sent an extra tray and dividers, but they really don't have a product with the measurements they advertise on their website, the-cover-store.com. They offered to refund my credit card and I wrote back saying yes, then a day later, I said, but if you plan to take down or not post my negative review, then don't credit.
About a month later they credited it and my review is not there. Would an honest company do that? Their website shows the reviews sorted by most recent first, and mine was recent, but older reviews show. I guess they only allow positive reviews, so their reviews are meaningless. One of their customer service people didn't know the definition of the word "dimension", which is taught in elementary school.
They still have the false dimensions on their website.
Prior to last winter I purchased covers for my grill, outdoor chairs and tables. I spent $284. The model I purchased came with a 3 year warranty.
It was a windy winter in this area and while the chair and furniture covers made it though, the $78 grill cover did not. It ripped away from the grill, ended up with several large tears and faded badly.
I submitted a claim online, sending 3 photos as required. I received an email from the company claiming the cover was not sold by them. They refused to honor the warranty. They sent me a picture of their current grill cover and it is slightly different. I noticed that the item number was different than the item number on my invoice. They are probably selling an updated version of the cover but that is not my problem. I know where I purchased the grill cover.
I suppose they thought I had the torn cover for years and sneakily purchased one from them so I could dupe them into who knows what. I had wanted a replacement but after this experience, I would never purchase anything from this site again and I suggest to others to avoid them like the plague.
