I just washed my brand new California King mattress pad from The Company Store 400 Thread Count Waterproof Cotton Top Mattress Pad Item No. MA80-CK-white (for which I paid $89 plus $14.95 in shipping) in cold water, delicate, no agitator top load washer, and tumbled dry on air fluff (no heat) before putting it on my bed for the first time. The result-- a big hole in the top of the mattresss pad. The Company Store refused to credit my account on the basis of a photo. They wanted me to ship the mattress pad back to them at my cost, and they said they would reimburse me. I told them that I had already thrown the pad out as it was useless and ridiculous to return such a big item. Then they offered to have it picked up by FedEx at their expense, but it was already in the garbage. They will not credit my account now. I have bought a huge amount of The Company Store products for years and have never had an experience like this. The Company Store should not be sellind horrible products like this one.
Very disappointing customer service. I was sent the wrong size flat sheet. The package says "Queen," which what I ordered. But, the sheet itself says it's a King. Way too big.
I had ordered the entire sheet set when I saw and liked it a couple of years ago, knowing the set would only be available for a limited time. I had plenty of other sheets and didn't need to use the new ones right away. The packaging said "Queen," so naturally, I trusted that is what I was sent.
I opened the packages today and discovered The Company Store's mistake. I called, but they won't give me a refund or exchange, even though it's their fault that they mislabeled and sent the wrong size. The only "excuse" is the passage of time. The sheet has not been used, and it was not my mistake to begin with. Shoppers beware. This company does not stand behind it's products unless you promptly discover their mistake. I expected a better response from this company. Walmart treats its customers better.
