The Blue Book Building & Construction Network Reviews
We are a construction company who signed up with the blue book after a salesperson completely lied to us about how the service works.
We SPECIFICALLY asked if the "leads" were from the job owners, we told them that we did not have a dedicated estimator that bid from blueprints. As we did not want to waste our time with getting emails from companies who did not own the jobs.
She ASSURED us that we would only receive leads from job owners or contractors who had been awarded the projects. First of all, we received a lot of "leads" but had to filter through them because about 90% of them were for jobs that were nowhere near our service area or did not include our trade.
That aside, we bid on multiple projects. It was only after following up each time that I discovered none of the companies owned the jobs! They were simply taking our bids and adding them to their own and then submitting them to the actual job owner!
It was a complete waste of our time, as we were not looking for a networking service. We had no desire to hobnob and smooth talk people to win them over just to get jobs.
Has a successful business owner I recommend you don't even talk to the people of The Blue Book Network. They have charged me without my authorization thousands of dollars. They have an ambiguous and shady contract, they do not add value to your business.
Their promises of assistance to your business are shallow and without real action. If you try to get them to do anything for you, they ignore you for months and then send you an invoice for thousands of dollars of services not rendered.
I recommended that you stay clear of their fraudulent marketing ploys and expend your money in the Business Registry of Georgia Tech or any other services that the Chamber of Commerce and other business groups can offer with the membership. Save yourself and your business time, money and grief by staying clear of them.
I had the same experience as described on these links:
I was hit up by an Owner Employee to subscribe to this network of referrals and leads, against my better judgement I decided to try it out.... The representive told me if I didn't like it I didn't have to continue, however it would take food outta his mouth/pay if i decided to cancel. So I signed up, Kinda felt sorry for the guy......Low and behold I started getting flooded with requests for proposals, I mean like it was a flood.. After approx 40 of them, and trying to contact the people listed as requesting, found it was all what if's and maybe they got my number somewhere, nothing led to anything of any substance other than a waste of time for projects that weren't real or the requester weren't at least aware of.... I was invited to a few meet and greets with other contractors which isn't really of any intertest. So I asked to be removed from the contact list, not be contacted again, told them it was a waste of my time.. I was contacted asked for a meeting in which was then told that i wasn't putting my effort into the network and it is not a lead board and it is just to meet other contractors...(like serious i gotta pay to meet people i see on jobs everyday..?) WOW.... Please don't contact me again...6 months goes by, I get an invoice for something I asked to be removed from numerious times...So I let it slide, month later i get a notice i am going to be referred to an attorney so they can get their money..? So i called and was told that if I dodn't pay them they will sue me, To which I told them this story that I asked to be removed last year...Responce too bad pay us.. My responce enjoy the lawsuit...
My experience with the blue book network is it is a serious waste of everybody's time and money no matter how hard they spin it.......And again they approached me for almost 2 years before I said what the hell fine let's hear what you have to say.... Silver tongue devils..
