Me and my wife went too the beckett theater on dec 17 2017 at 5.30 for what was advertised as the classic charls dickens christmas carol.at first we could not even find the theater do to small unatractive advertising out front, adjacent business were not even aware of there presence.we paid $200. For 2 tickets,my wife never been to a theater preformance before,so i wanted her too have a good experience.when we entered the auditorium,it was no larger than a 7/11 convenience store,i was so embarrassed. When the show started, the props on stage were old wooden crates.rolled up newspaper to represent candles, the actors wore modern clothing, too people held up a bed sheet too represent a doorway, and the actors put there hands too there mouths too make wind sounds when the sheet(doorway)opend.it was a bad highschool play, the website when we first ordered said nothing about improv,or modern version,it specifically said classic christmas carol!they are scamming people out of money probably for extra christmas money, this was a christmas gift too my wife.we are not well off people,i was very upest.i left 20 nim into the preformance, many others left before us,i went to the ticket window were i was treated extreamly rudely, and denied me even a partial refund.i called telicahge to try, good luck i was told when finaly reached a live person.theres no officail website too complain,or try too rectify anything...what a scam.i tryed too post on yelp,it never showed up and my phone is now acting screwy.i lived on nyc all my life,i hate it here, nothing is on the level, nothing!
