When I was hired back in November 2017 I was told I was being hired as a full-time driver and not just for the holidays, because the other driver I was replacing had found a better job.. Well when I was being trained by Brian whom I was replacing, Brian told me he was leaving because Van kept laying him off and he wasn't getting the hours he needed.. I asked Mr Dunn if this was a full-time position and he said yes.. So I took the position and worked full-time hours, until after the holidays , and the freight started to slow down.. I would be called into work several times and when I arrived was told my run was cancelled.. Now this has happened quite a bit ' and I was told by one of the managers of the company we run for that they are trying to do away with my run..
I didn't know if Mr Dunn knew this and I let him know, Mr Dunn called me a liar and said I don't know what information your getting but your wrong.. The other day as the proof was in the pudding, the company we run line haul for had a add out on indeed and said it's hiring for line haul drivers - company drivers.. So again I let Me Dunn know again and he didn't respond to my text, as I'm sure he was completely embarrassed that he was wrong, but never apologized either.. Then last week Mr Dunn informed me when I asked him about my full-time position and the hours I was promised ' that he only had part time work and if I needed full-time I would have to find another job or just stay on part time..
We came to an agreement over the phone and I said I will need to find another pt job and if I'm working you can't expect me to drop my other job because you need me to work and he said I understand and if I call you and your working I'll understand since I can't guarantee you work hours.. So last week when I was out of work and called off numerous of times which I have from his text ' I found another job and had already made a commitment to work for another company part time that would keep me working.. I text Mr Dunn tonight my other commitments and told him I couldn't run until Wednesday.. Then he sent me a text saying if I didn't run for him don't plan on coming back to work for Apodaca...So be warned ! Don't work for this company.. and don't ever trust a word Mr Dunn tells you.. He'll screw you in the back every time..
