There are currently no regulations for any coaching services. The Addictions Academy is for educated people who already know this but wish to enhance their credentials and be up to date on the current treatment of various addictions.
Their IMAC course, which I'm taking, allows you to become trained by the top professionals in this field. It's one of the better decisions I've made and I'm already being sought out for my services.
I can't believe I took classes with this woman and received my so-called "certification". I just called the top agencies including NAADAC which is on my diploma and they said this certificate is not a certification and basically the diploma means I completed a course as a National Recovery Coach. This "certification" is her claiming it is a certification and not by any type of governing body or licensing authority. I then contacted my state certification board and looked at their material to become a real State Certificed Recovery Coach and I can't believe the crap that was fed to me. The nerve she charges to for these BS classes $1,000.00 by taking advantage of me and I'm only a student. I found all this out when I went to apply for a job at a psychiatric care facility as a recovery coach and they basically laughed in my face when I showed them my certification. They said this academy has a horrific reputation and to do more due diligence in the future when choosing an educational platform. Now I have to take a "real" recovery coaching course in order to get the state certification. I can't believe this. I hope I never see this woman in Florida again. Do your homework people.
