Teleperformance My department was split into two teams a few months ago. My team leader has spent zero time on development of any of their team members. 1:1 meeting are few and far between. Even when there has been one it is basically asking if we need anything and goodbye. There is no attempt to make contact and there is zero action on anything needed. We don't even have team meetings to make sure we are on the same page.
The sad part of this is that this team leader was promoted from among our group. The other team leader seems to (ahem) "wear the pants in the family". They basically tell my team leader what to do and how to do it and my team leader just lets it happen. The other team leader takes every action possible to keep my team from getting recognition for achievements and even reaches out to anyone that you are scheduled to interview with for another position to keep you from escaping their abuse. If you go to HR (which is supposed to be confidential) or report their actions to their boss, you will be "blacklisted" and targeted by them.
Let me begin by saying that I worked at Teleperformance for almost 8 years. don't ask how I lasted that long, I don't have a clue. they advertise on their marque that they are always taking applications, the reason why is that they are constantly loosing clients and laying people off or the current clients are laying off. in in the whole time i was there, never seen them call someone back for a new client. even if they were a good employee and agent. their equipment is out dated. until last fall 2014 they finally upgraded to windows 7, which was out of date when they installed it.
Chairs are appauling. stained by what could be body fluids, or who know what. the restrooms are a breeding ground for everything and they smell to high heaven. they constantly make up rules that they don't inform employees of in writing, but at best word of mouth through the team leaders. putting idiotic rules like having to have any drink at your work station in a clear container, no soda cups, coffee cups of any kind. only a month after receiving a plaque from Healthnet of southern Ca., the company I worked for, was released for making one mistake after 7 years without ever having any reprimands ever. one of the worst work environments I have ever worked in.
