Techzone247 Inc. Reviews
On July 9, 2017, I paid via internet $199.99 to TechZone 247, Inc and received anti-virus removal help for the duration of July 2017.
During that period I received phone calls (usually Phillipino accent) claimed a representative needed to open my computer to them so they can retrieve software they installed and I would be reimbursed my money.
I called the previous contact nembers for TechZone 247 and they assured me it was a scam.
I continued to get daily calls, saying they needed to retrieve the software and got "pushy" about it. I continue to get daily calls from several different localities and a return call reveals no such number.
I called the original contact numbers and it was to no avail. They no longer exist. Techzone 247 is a Ripoff! I also reported these phone calls to FTC.Gov.
Be advise. Thank you
Techzone247 ripped me off for $250 dollars. Attempted a $5000 theft but was discovered in time. Passed themselves off as working with Microsoft. After a remote session learned operator attemted to steal money from me. Totally a scam.
I orginally got a phone call from Microsoft (except it wasn't) telling me I did not have protection on my computer, and the individual gave me the number of TechZone. I let these people into my computer, as I was having trouble connecting my printer to my computer. (WIFI) In fact, I spent all day with someone, and I finally had to buy a cable. Skip to today. I got a call, supposedly from TechZone, but it wasn't. Assuming it was the legitimate company (and I assumed Techzone was legitimate) I let them into my computer. I subsequently lost $300, $200 of which went to a person via Western Union, where the money is immediately available. I supose I had that information on my computer, and they tried to get it from a credit card, which was declined. I changed all my information on my credit cards, but I am not sure that is sufficient. I have no idea how to protect my computer at this point, and Techzone is supposed to call tomorrow to help me protect my computer from future invasions. I am so confused now, I am not going to let anyone in.
I was having trouble connecting my new HP network printer to my home network. I typed HP customer support into my browser, and the search result appeared to be from HP support. When I called the number it was answered as HP customer support, and I asked several times if they were representing HP customer support which they said yes to. I was suspicious at first because they didn't sound professional, but they were Indian and I thought the issue might be cultural or language.
The rep insisted on connecting to my computer because he said he needed to diagnose my network problem to see why it wasn't conecting to the printer. Immediately he started scanning my computer, and found all my passwords and credit card numbers that I didn't even realize were unencrypted. It appeared he was copying my personal information because I saw files transferring at the bottom of the screen. He then informed me that my computer was full of very serious errors, and that this was the cause of my printer problems. I told him that I use Norton programs and that I just did a full scan of the computer, and there was no errors found. He still insisted that the only way to fix the printer is for him to fix the computer problems and I had to pay $99 in order for the problem to be fixed. I said that this didn't sound like HP customer support, because they wouldn't make these types of statements. I disconnected the program they were using to connect to my computer and hung up the phone. They have been constantly calling my phone number to harrass me even though I told the to stop calling.
I brought my printer back to Fryes Electronics and found that it was defective, and they exchanged it for a new printer. I then easily connected the new printer to my computer network. Despite the dire warnings from the rep, there was no issues with installing software.
I recently received a credit card statement from my credit card company, and there was a charge for $99 from Techzone247 on there which I immediately disputed, and I was so concerned that I had them cancel the card and reissue it under an new number. I now realize that my mistake was not using the customer support number in the documentation for the printer, but I am used to going online to find information. I have learned from my mistake, and now I don't trust the search results when I do browser searches.
When I read the report from another person about his problem with this company, it sounded similar to my story, except they claimed to be from Microsoft. I think that Techzone247 may be pretending to represent many large computer companies.
While seeking to report a problem installing my Net Gear router I phoned the tchnical problems phone number provided on their website. Their support service, Tech Zone 247 took control of my computer with their software and told me I could have my problem solved until they "cleaned" my computer. As this seemed logical to me, I allowed them access to control my computer. This "cleaning" was not covered under my 90 day warranty for my router. They offered a $200 one time servie fee or a $400 one year service fee. I told them that I only wanted the services offered undeer the 90 day free Net Gear warranty. They then tried to repair the router problem, but were unable solve the problen in getting the router to work and suggested that I return the router to the vendor. They proceeded to charge the $400 to my credit card.
Not correcting what the error message
I was on HP website to get tech support from HP and the Techzone 247 window popped up and I thought it was the HP tech support and was charged $160.00 to fix what didn't need fixed with the error message that was displayed on our printer

This place is definltey a scam
I was on the internet to register a hotmail.com account (as my Incredimal stopped working via Comcas.net) No sooner as I was typing my request when a white box popped up in the right hand corner of my screen. It identified a Microsoft Alert and that my computer had been comprimised (a short version of the message on my part).
At this point beware, shut off your computer if possible.
In the background an other pop up directed me to call a certain number, which only works when your compter has the alert, it said I had 5 minutes to select the stay on button or my hard drive would be eraxed. Avoice repeaded the message repeatedly I wished I had taken a screen shot.
A few minutes later an alert sound came on and I could not close down the web page. So I called the number and talked to someone, by this time I was in panic mode and did not remember the persons name re;lied saying a had the Zuse virus, usually installed while on the internet.
I was switched over to a technition first by the name Ethan, then turned over to Nathan. He said my network was hacked when on the internet. Everything else on my computer was fine. I ask how much is this going to cost me...there were 3 options. I said how was I expected to pay, could I use my Banks Bill Pay, or Pay Pal. He said no only a credet card was acceptalbe.
I said I do not want to put my card information at all. Nathan then said we wont be able to see the numbers of your card or your password. Also you wont even have to enter your 3 numbers on the back of the card., which made me think this migh be legit. He then ask me which option I wanted, all this time the message is repeating making it difficult to hear him, i was able to bargen for the 5 year support, Number 1 was 1 year, 2 was3 years and 3. was 5 years for the price of 249.99 which was the 3 year price.
He gave me his number when I told him I was not really interested, he said he would send me a warrentee of the support. No matter what I said didn't matter. In the end a bought the service however I used a debit card....not a credit card. I went into the Bank and ask for a new credit card which the issued me right away.
I recieved a call from my bank and they were worried that this was a scam and prited out the information of the company, which was Techzone247 INC, date, 7-18-2016. The Baml said I should have and eventually did get in touch with Xfinity to see if they could help to determine if this was a scam. When they heard the information they said it was a scam, however they would not send an email to me so that I could show my Bank that it was a scam. In the end talking to Jerimie he gave me a web site to see if the number of the information was listed. I knew it would not be as I tried the number before calling and it said it was not in service.
The list titled "Pop Up Support Scam" followed by the number 841-617-2525 and the information was exactly what I experienced. Thanks to Ent Federal Credit Union, for supporting and alerting their members.
As I read some of the reports they were the samething I went through. Microsoft information that was mentioned fit the first Pop up. and the second report was very much the same as mine.
There is some legetiment information, because there is a company with the same name, citiy and state.
