Window poped up with a Microsoft page behind it. Says: you have a Zeua Virus and call 855.851.6093 otherwise your compuer will freeze and lose all data. Couldn't click on anything according to my husband. Did call.
I feel they misrepresented themselves, stating they were from Microsoft. Even asked them point blank, saying they were a scam and they denighed it. I permitted accees to the computer and they showed areas that were locked up...due to the virus - they were really good! UNTILL they said they needed to put up a unrecognizable firewall. Then came the billing of $398. Took the credit info.
Then my computer geek called. He said disconnect from internet immeaditately that it was a scam. We were talking over the phone telling him we found out he was a scam. They were arguing they were not and finally we hung up and called credit card company to cancel order and our card.
Received email they charged us. Then received order form that we needed to initial BEFORE ordering. We will not be billed by carge company.
My computer guy took over and hour getting "JUNK' off my computor they left. Finally had time to search the computer and fond from the microsoft community that Techsvite is not certified Microsoft.
They pissed off the wrong person, they will find this post everywhere.
