I had my Ford focus in for inspection that was passing as itbwas pre certified to pass by another team of inspectors that is till I took itbto team one. The mechanic lifted my car and never stoppped lifting my car even though there was though screaches and moans. The manager ran to never check the noise out. Enough to know know the loud noise i heard was damage being done to my fkex pipe and heat shield cause of improper lift of my car on the right side. You can physically see the damage of the lift. They tried to over charge me a car part and became beligerant rude towardd me and even gave me bad additude as i sat waiting for my car. They refuse to contact me on the matter to resolve it.
New to PA and had to go through with required annual auto inspection. First of all, I am very handy with a wrench and do most maintenance on my own; I in fact torque every nut and bolt to factory specifications (I have the dealer repair software I use as a reference). So I brought my car for the inspection. They raised my car up and took off all 4 wheels for the "safety inspection." They said everything checked out (which I was expecting). The mechanic tells me that the wheel lug nuts where on "really tight" and says that he torque them to 80 foot pounds (my car requires that the proper lug nut torque to be at 140 Nm or approx 100 foot pounds). I get in the car and the car reeks of cigarette smoke (the mechanic just took it for a "test drive"). "OK" I think to myself. I don't have time to make an issue out of this and decide to drive home.
I double check the lug nut specs the mechanic gives me at home with my torque wrench to find that one of the lug nuts in my rear wheel are loose; I was able to take out the wheel lug nut with my bare hands. I could see that the bolt was clearly stripped with a glob of silver antiseize compound (I just rotated my tires less than 2 months ago and I know better to use antiseize on my lug bolts, nor do I even own antiseize). So I take it back to their shop and the mechanic tells me "oh that sucks." And begins to scramble around for a spare lug bolt and installs another bolt with an electric impact driver and takes out his torque wrench and tells me that it has been set to 100 ft lbs and assures me that no damage has been done to the hub. I drive home again and again... I am able to take out the nut with my bare hands. I call them on the spot and they deny that they 1) Ever took off the wheel on the car (I clearly saw them the first time taking off the wheel)
2) That this is not their fault (less than 2 months ago, I hand-tightened all the bolts to factory spec.
Team One auto group messed with the wrong customer this time. Now I have to replace the entire hub/bearing assembly and will take this to a reputable shop in my area and I will be taking Mr. Eric Bozian and Team One Auto group to court for damages done, denial of liability and fault, and fraud (I saw them taking the wheels off my car and they deny this). Do NOT take your car here. With the list of complaints piling up online I doubt they will be in business for long anyway but They owe me $1000 dollars for a new hub/bearing assembly and the work (proper work) involved.
