The information is in the email I sent to them (which was returned to me undeliverable due tot he full mailbox is there's) below: It is with a negatively burdened heart that I am writing this message. I realize you all could careless the situation you place mere people like myself in, but I have called nearly everyday to your office, spoken with representatives in regards to filing a refund, for money that is mine, taken from my wages, and given poor information for weeks upon weeks. Here is the situation. I quit my job as an assistant Principal with Houston ISD to better myself and attend Law School at South Texas College of Law. I was also an employed by Houston Community College as an Adjunct Professor of Government. Your office has been telling me (and the phone conversations are recorded I've been told by you all) that I did not need to be terminated from Houston Community College since my position as an adjunct wasn't paying into TRS. I continued to accept classes to teach this semester under that presumption. I was told that both employers need submit a certification of my termination. HISD sent this over. Houston community college said they couldn't because I was terminated. I called TRS again to verify and you all told me there is a way they can verify the certification without me terminating that employment and that their TRS benefits coach could assist them in doing so. I relayed this message back to HCC and gave them the contact information sent from you all for Ms. Gomez, the TRS coach. They sent her an email which she hasn't responded to yet. I then speak to you all today only to be informed that all of the previous information I've received has been false and that I need to be completely terminated by HCC. This is extremely frustrating as I was relying on the HCC salary AND my retirement refund, to support my family. If I had been given the proper information, I would've been able to prepare correctly, but it seems you all can easily guide me in the wrong direction and in the end come and tell me "oh well sorry. Deal with it." This is completely UNACCEPTABLE! Tax payers do not contribute tot he well being of state agencies so they can take advantage and not even care when they make an error that affects family's. I am livid to no ends and no one seems to care. No recourse, no apology, just simply "deal with it". Now I've had to resign from HCC and currently have no funds, while you all tell me that even when all the necessary paperwork is complete, it will still take 60 days. Is it ok for you all to toy around with people's lives because it doesn't affect you? I deserve answers and I deserve a resolution outside of "deal with it!"
