I purchased a engine via Advanced Auto Parts. This engine has a 3 year warranty. The warranty is USELESS. I had this engine installed by my mechanic. The engine burns 1 quart of oil every 50 miles. This behavior continues after the break in period. I take the engine out and send it back.
Of course I am eatting all the labor. I get the engine back 2 weeks later. And the block has a big hole in it. This is to be covered by the intake. It will dump a ton of oil on the timing chain now... WTF... I continue to put it in because I have no choice.
I knew this after a very incredibly unintelligent conversation with a guy named Rick who supposedly runs Thunderbolt... This guy is a half witt at best. He states that since I didnt buy the engine directly from them that there is nothing they can do for me.
The problem the first engine had was cracked water jackets in the heads. Well guess what we fire the replacement engine.. And it barely runs. Guess what the coolant smells like exhaist again. This meaning the same thing is wrong. These clowns sent me back the same heads. I now have the same exact problem and guess who is eatting the labor... Me again... The difference is this time I will do something else and call a lawyer. Leave these people alone yall !
