They have our firearm for repair for 7 months when promised no later then 3. No one can tell us where it is and we can not get them to send it back. Robotic answers to ever email or phone call. Hours wait on calls. Weeks for email responses. Even the ffl holders we spoke to said they no longer want to purchase from taurus. Because unlike taurus they care about their customers. And they are being treated by taurus as badly as we are. You have to be crazy to ever purchase one of their firearms. Sad part is this firearm was broke out of the box. Any reputable company would just have sent you a new gun.
Anyone who buys a gun from Taurus USA should have their head examined. I sent in a gun for repair in October. Four months later they won't answer their phone, won't respond to a chat box, won't return a letter I mailed, and won't respond to Twitter or FaceBook messages. the company is a total scam. They need to be investigated by the federal authorities since they are dealing with guns but are totally dishonest.
Taurus has had my PT99 since Feb 2017 its now mid August. Several echats and emails to the so called customer service contacts have been nothing more than a waste of time. I finally emailed the company president and customer satisfaction manager have gotten no response. The service reps on both email and phone gave me the same scripted response each time I called or chatted. The response being "the part is on order but we don't know when we will get it. We get parts in but never know what we are going to get."
I know this gun is no longer in production but really 6 months!
Talk about a haphazard way of conducting business and any customer service dept worth with any pride would never give out such a flimsey response and expect people to actually accept it.
From the other reports I have read I have to believe the "Lifetime Warranty" is nothing more than a come on to get you to purchase their product since they clearly have no good intention of backing it up.
I know Taurus has had a class action suit filed against them already maybe it's time for another one!

I called in April - nobody knew anything about what I was told in March. I escalated the call to a "supervisor". Worthless...she was reading from the same script as the others. Said everything was back ordered and she could call me in a month with an update. I said OK.
She called in May. Said nothing had changed since our last call. I asked if there had been any update on the timeline at all. She said "6-8 months". I said "You've had it 8 months, so what gives?"
At this point, she goes into this elaborate bunch of bull. She said that in April, they received "parts" and were going to re-evaluate ALL the firearms for repairs. This re-evaluation was going to take 6-8 months from April 2016!
So I recapped - you mean they AREN'T replacing my firearm? "No"
And its going to take 6-8 MORE months to decide if they can fix the old one? "Yes"
Mine is part of the class action lawsuit - is it even eligible to be repaired? "They will evaluate it in 6-8 months"
Doing the math, that means they'll have my firearm for 14-16 months before they tell me what they are going to do about it.
DON'T buy a Taurus! Ever! A lifetime warranty is worthless when the company behind it is worthless. Might as well just give them $300 and let them kick you in the nuts. At least it would be over.
