Be aware of Taskrabbit predatory billing tactics. We hired them to assemble Ikea furniture and worked out a $75 per hour with technician. Later we found out Taskrabbit billed our credit card $88 per hour but that is not all. There is an additional total of $165 in junk fees under different names. Stay away from Taskrabbit they take advantage of consumer and their technicians and can not be trusted.
Don’t do business with them as they will not resolve damages caused by a Tasker’s carelessness. I recently had a Tasker fix a minor plumbing issue (running toilet) and he broke a d**n pipe causing a major leak into my second floor damaging a bathroom, living room and laundry room.
A $200 fix is now a $3000 fix and they want to only cover the broken pipe! No they need to fix the entire damages caused by their Tasker. I have filed complaints with the BBB, California AG and Virginia’s AG. I will go further until I get my home made whole again. This company practices unfair and unethical business practices.
I signed up to work for Task Rabbit and in order to accept jobs, I was told I would need a background check that costs $25. I paid the $25 and never heard back. They said their "third party company could not complete my background check". I have been sending them emails ever since and finally today, they sent the one saying they do not refund registration fees. The fee was for a background check, which they could not complete.
This IKEA Certified Assembler not only is a fake and inomptent service provider, bust an abusive bully who gets away with abusing elderly minorities who are too afraid to report him publicly.
We found him to be decietful, fraudulent and completely inept at assembly services - might even be deliberately playing clueless in order to get more extended business. But as such the images found on WWW say tons about this bully who did not complete the job and dissapeared after a cash-and-dash rip off.
This guy gives all the good assemblers and IKEA a bad name by representing them.
