I was contacted via the internet by a sales company - supposedly in fla, but i have since found they are part of a multi-facetted organization throughout the us - about having "won" several holidays in the us at different resorts as part of a sales promo pitch. I listened and found it interesting. Naievely, i paid about a 20% portion of the total cost via my cc.They supposedly paid the rest). Only after did i go to check out the outfit on yscam.
Aghast, i called back and said i wanted to "cancel", as i am allowed by federal law to do, within 3 days of purchase. They passed me around, and finally some fellow said"well, i have to go listen to your verification tapes". I said "fine, but that has nothing to do with the 3 days afforded me by federal law. Please give me your address - there are no addresses available on any of their sites - in order that i send you an overnight letter to cancel my order". He refused to give it to me, and said he wouldn't be able to verify the tapes until monday, 2 days after the 3 day time limit.
I then attempted to contact swreg who had "processed" the credit card, but again, they refused to give me their fax number or phone number so that i could avoid an overnight letter cost, and at this point it is too late anyway. All of these companies are looped together, with different names and different addresses, most likely to avoid unhappy customers and/or discourage legal intervention.
They are doing nothing at all for the reputation of the us as a clean business environment.
The company is a portal with small businesses that sign up to provide services. This particular vendor claims to provide Free software to recover a windows password however, the FREE trial version does not have 100% fully functioning features so they force you to purchase.
If I could of saved time it was worth it to me to pay for the software however, the software does not work on newer Dell's w/ UEFI Bios and Dell's proprietary partitions. It won't recognize the Dell partitions even when disabling secure UEFI Bios settings. The FAQ instructions are poorly written but as an experienced technician I could see beyond this if it worked.
Requested a refund after day 2 and 10 hours of attempting to make the software work. It took several days for a response but I received response from a Hilda who said they could not give me a refund because I did not contact their help desk and had no screen shots as proof. After numerous emails back and forth for over a week or more they refused me a refund.
The last emails offered me a more advanced password recovery software or a mobile phone password recovery software for Free as compensation however, I just wanted a refund.
Final emails they said no refund would be given. I complained that they were not honoring their 30 day money back guarantee but they did not care. I was told they are in Taiwan. I have been left with no options but to post on the Internet as an unhappy customer and file an elevated claim to Pay Pal. Thank goodness I paid thru Pay Pal. Awaiting response at this time.
Do not do business with this company they will take your money, provide no support, rewrite software on the fly and refuse to honor their refund polciy. Attitude is catch me if you can, we are in Taiwan
