Attended an International Living convention where Swiss Metals had a booth. Invested money from a self-directed IRA with them and then received a letter saying the "owner" of the company had died and a lawyer, Fernando Aleman, was doing an inventory of all existing metals and clients for liquidation process. After trying to get in touch with them through email and phone I googled the company to now find out that it was a scam. Want to get in touch with any other people who are getting a lawyer.
We bought a "box" of metals and silver after meeting the representatives at a Sovereign Society meeting in Panama City. We had thought that the Sovereign Society vetted the vendors but I guess not.
The person I communicated most with was Daniel Nance.
I believe that Knut Anderson also had established a German bakery in Panama. He also spent nearly every weekend in Miami, according to him.
I actually visited the office on a later trip to Panama.
I am interested in collaborating with anyone who wants to proceed.
I was also noitfied of fraudulant activites in October 2016. i reached out to some law firms but dont feel like i can trust them. They all want 10% of the amount invested up front and 25% of the amount recovered. I dont want to pay out even more money to find there is noting to return.
A friend of mine paid a law firm in November 2016 and to date noting has been done. So i think he may have lost even more.
I do not see any of the previous reports recomending a remedy. I would like to know if any investment assets have been returned to the investors.

While attending the International Living Conference in Panama in April 2014, I looked at several investment related companies that were sponsoring the conference. One of these companies was Swiss Metal (aka SMH Schweizerische Metalhandel Panama, S.A.). This company was offering sale and storage of strategic metals for future profit.
I decided to purchase the A basket which consisted of Key Industriey metals (Hafnium, Indium, Gallium, Bismuth, Tellerium, Tantalum, and silver). The company could provide storage in its vauts and assist in selling these materials at a future date.
Afterwiring the company the fund for this purchase. I have heard nothing and have been unable to contact the company. I have recently heard that the company has been liquidated.
I purchased metal baskets of strategic and rare earth metals after seeing a presentation by Knut Andersen ,CEO of Swissmetal Inc,at a prestigious investment conference .They had been in business since 2012 ,and my internet search on the company indicated that they were legimate.They promoted that the metals would be held in the individual's name and be deeded,insured,and routinely audited by an outside agency,and would be located in secured vaults in Switzerland and Panama. I received my deeds of ownership as promised.However, in October 2016 all investors received an email stating that due to company losses they would have to liquidate all the holdings and would get back to us soon after the inventory assessment.However,I never did hear back from them,and have not been able to contact anyone in either Panama or Switzerland.Also the attorney representing the liquidation,Fernando Aleman of AlemanHerrera & Associates of Panama,has not followed up since the original email. Any other investors in this fraud may contact me so that we can determine the best way to proceed.
