I purchased three of P&G's Swiffer product, Swiffer Continuous Air Purifier. Each appliance came with a single filter bag. The filters are attached to an electronic chip that requires replacement after 30 days. Recognizing that I would need replacement filters, I ordered several from amazon.com on 11/19/2019. The company has discontinued the replacement filters and they are completely unobtainable anywhere.
I have attempted to look domestically and overseas and have so far found only one box of two filters for sale on ebay for $65, more than the cost of the appliance alone. The company still sells the air cleaner appliance but replacement filters are nowhere to be found. Upon contacting the company, they referred me to "their manufacturer," Cranbury, World & Main. That site also has a toll-free number which I called and was referred to amazon.com, which has no replacement filters available for any price and is marked "No longer available."
Proctor & Gamble continues to sell this appliance although they do not provide replacement filters which, again, must be changed every 30 days for the appliance to work. This effectively give the product a 30-day lifespan before it becomes useless. I have been unable to source the needed replacements. P&G needs to provide these filters to their customers or compensate us for the wasted money.
To repeat, Proctor & Gamble sells a product that stops working after 30 days without replacing a filter that can not be obtained anywhere in the world, except at a price higher than the appliance itself.
