My husband purchased a vacant lot from SWEHOMES and financed it through them in 2006 in his name only. The property was paid off in February 2019. In October 2018, my husband signed and recorded a deed transfer on death transferring the property to me at the court house. My husband died in April 2019.
I took the deed transfer upon death document to SWEHOMES and requested a release of lien on the property. They keep telling me that they are working on the release of lien document and that it will be ready in 2 weeks. They have been telling me this since June 19, 2019.
I live in my parents home SWE bought the company that bought the home in a tax auction. I got outside financing to purchase my home and they refuse to except it because they wanted me to in house finacing.
When I agreed they double the price even after they apprasier stated it wasn't worth much and it didn't pass any inspections. This company is a ripoff and this guy has gotten rich doing it..
They said we were leasing to own, we had to lease for 2 yesrs. When i finally got in touch with Martinez he said we were just renting. But we were paying lease to own payments. Plus after the first year the rent went up from 890.00 to 990.00. When i asked y they said on your lease it shows that. We were two monts away from fulfilling the lease when they contacted us saying we owed 900.00 n late payments. 100.00 for each month..
I have never had to deal a company like this. Their interest rate is over the top. Unprofessional, Money hungry, rude, Unfriendly. They do not return calls. They do not send monthly statements. You have to request a statement ledger which is messy and not very ledgible. They set up escrow accounts and do not pay the taxes as they should. We had a tax lien placed on our property where they did not pay and would not have know if we had not received a statement that next year showing it was not paid. They have excuss after excuss for what they do to try a justify it. I will never ever deal with this company again and I will never recommend this company to anyone else.
