Everyone, BEWARE of SWAT Repo. Before you purchase any vehicle or heavy truck from these people (Dan Weinstein and Jerry A Mann)they're both liers. Back in march 2017 I watched on Ebay a 2002 peterbilt burgandy, so I contact them to place my offer and they call me back to let me know that the bank accept my offer. So better yet since I m from Texas they offered me to bring the truck to Saint Louis,Mo, because they have to move some trailers to a customer in St. louis and they can drop the truck in customers yard,but surprise!!! they call me arround 10:30 at night to let me know that they don't have room in their yard so the truck will be parked at the T A on I 70 exit 203 as soon I heard that, I call them but they didn't answer.
I sent massages and nothing, from that point I knew something was wrong. when I arrived at the TA ruck stop the truck roughly start, I inspect all arround and the air bag suspention was blown. I call Dan and he ask me to take the truck to TA service for repair but when I try to drive the truck the power steering do not work so I called back to Dan and explain the situation, he said that his driver never said nothing about it, he then told me to add more fluid to the power steering but nothing happened. Then he said that they will pay for the repairs when I get fixed, to just fax them the invoices and they send me a refund. But when I call the dealer to order parts, surprice again!! The engine does not match the VIN#, that engine is a 1995 model,the VIN # shows a cat c 15 475 with 18 speed but they swap the engine for a cat 3406e with 10 speed.
The truck has lots of rust all over, the A/C doesn't work, the windshield wipers don't work - this deal was a total ripoff. So watch these people from SWAT Ripoff, look at the modus operandi and it's the same case from the guy from Indiana. The pics didn't show any damages, everything looked perfect - but when I picked up the truck, there was a big dent on driver side sleeper. On top of all that, nobody delivered the truck to me, they left the truck wide open with the key and temporary tag inside. I then tool a look around and saw the back of frame - it shows that the truck was towed from the rear. They towed it knowing it wouldn't run.
All I can say to all the prospect/potential buyers is: my loss will be your gain, please check these thieves before you buy anything from them. Do your homework by cheking SWAT RIPOFF (SWAT REPO) before you do business with them.
Guys do not buy from this guy his just lair, I bought a 2005 kw w900 from then just a week ago,the guy told me that the truck was in very good shape that it has been through his shop and everything was ok with the truck,he also told me that it was a heavy spect tractor with 20k front and 46k rear wich was what I needed since I'm converting it to a dump truck. Well to make a long history short all he told me was lies. Paid him 22k for the truck when to pickup the truck to a truck stop that they offer to deliver for "free" to find out that non of the lights or the gauges on the truck works that it's not heavy spects and tha the engine on it is from a 1984 truck and needs to be rebuild it burned about 8gl of oil in about 1100miles. Please don't ignore!
I bought a 2000 freightliner from swatrepo and Dan was the salesman who lied to me. He said he was going to fix the list of things I found wrong with the truck. When I come to pick up the truck half the list was done half a** and the other was not done at all. As I looked over the truck I noticed that someone had taken the aluminum rims off. So I went in to confront them Dan wouldn't come talk to me they gave me the running around. Finally after I wouldn't leave until I got my aluminum rims back. Dan come out of the office he had been there the whole time. He gave me my rims said it was a mistake, when I asked about the other things that didn't get fixed. He came unglued started swearing, throwing chairs, and hitting the wall . I got my rims and got out of there . I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!!!!
Buyer beware from buying from swat repo muscoda. They ie Dan Wessels claims the trucks are repos when really they are auction house junk, w/ spray paint overhauls. I see they are advertising ebay alot. see for yourself do a google search and type in Swat repo complaints/ ripoff or southern Wisconsin auto and tire scam. whatever he tells you to hand over some money then its lies and more lies, I don't see how they can sleep at night and to see that this has been going on for years is beyond me. sells junk and covers up. lies about conditions. numerous lawsuits. his word is crap. many out of state victims. look up Danny Wessels, Southern Wisconsin Auto & Tire, or Cool Express under WI court records. numerous fraud accusations, all the people out of state that have been violated by him is sad. your forewarned
