We relocated from San Francisco to New York City in February of 2018. I had a Lexus CT200H, which had 18 payments remaining on it. I went to SwapALease at the suggestion of a friend.
My service associate, Daniela Reynolds, was very solicitous and took me through the process of posting and then transferring my lease. At her suggestion, I purchased the $600 level of service which, ostensibly, put me towards the front of the queue for potential buyers.
After four weeks, AND SOME DUE DILIGENCE ON MY OWN, I recognized that my car was a couple hundred dollars higher than most of its competition. I went to Ms. Reynolds and suggested a financial incentive of $200 a month to lower the payment to a more competitive number.
A couple more weeks went by and still no offers. I went to Ms. Reynolds again and the only reply to my concerned email was, "I am still doing everything I can.
I can’t force someone to take over your lease. We discussed your high monthly payment. I am doing the best that I can." I suggested a further lowering of the price by a $250 a month financial incentive.
And Ms. Reynolds NEVER mentioned at the outset of our conversations that my monthly payment was high. I discovered that WHOLLY on my own.
I received one inquiry. The only communication between Ms. Reynolds and myself at that point was to ask her if I should just deal with the possibly new lessor directly. Her reply was, "Yes, and let me know when you have initiated the transfer." No intermediary help. No suggestions as to how to close the deal.
Had I purchased one of the cheaper options which would have left things more or less completely up to me, I would be fine with the inability of the car to have the lease transferred, but the $600 fee seemed to imply that SwapALease would assist me in getting potential buyers and working with me to transfer the lease.
None of that happened. The fact that Ms. Reynolds had only "I can't force someone to take over your lease" to say leads me to believe that SwapALease is only interested in getting the fee but not providing the service.
I will NEVER recommend them to anyone looking for a service such as SwapALease.
The person Jessica was rude and impossible to work with. Argumentative. Unproffesional. Only 2 people running this business. My advertisement to have my car lease taken over was advertised incorrectly after attempting to perfect it with her. I am waiting for a refund to appear in my account.
When i first started to ask question about getting out of my lease of my car, the person i talked was Vernon Madden, Senior Account Manager. I asked him if how much the car was worth was needed in order to be competetie to getting out of my lease and he replied no that it did not matter when it came to getting out of my lease. so of course Madden convince me when it came down to pay i only had told him that i only wanted the cheapest one which was about 100. dollars however Madden said that he could convince his supervisor and give me a special for 300 dollars that would cover everything with advertisment and that i would be out of my car in no more than 45 days, of course 2 months passed and Madden than tells me that we could probable get out of the car with an incesntive and i offered one car payment which is 767,
than anothe moth passes and no hits so madden ask me for another incentive of of now two payments off. i started looking at web site where my car is advertise and i see that even dealership are being advertise and of course they offer a lot of incentive for people to go to their dealership to buy. the bottome line i offered 3 car payment which is a total of 2301.00 of to try to get out of the lease and here we are 8 months. Vernon Madden and his company lie to get you in to try to get out of the lease which they know it wont happen. from the begining i asked him if it matter how much my car is worth to see if i can even get out of lease and he answer was it does not matter on swap lease but what im seeing that it does my car has about 2387 miles on it, it hardley get used and it garage but it does not get any hits cause my car is probable woth less than what im offering to get out of lease however the fact that Madden had to lie to get me to pay 300 dollars cause it would sell in 45 day and we are 8 month pass the day i signed up.

This scam-running company removed a car listing without notice so we are sitting around f'n idiots waiting for somebody to pick up a car lease.
That was impossible to occur because there was no way for anybody to see the car.
