I purchased a replacement factory indorsed Sylvania HID conversion kit from SUVLIGHTS.com for around $419 plus shipping. During the purchase I and asked if it was possible to upgrade the bulbs to a different color temperature. Someone from the company replied and said it could be done for an additional $50. So I opted for the color change and paid an additional $50.
2 weeks later the package came to my house without the bulb upgrade. I called and got a hold of someone at their warehouse that was actually helpful and said no problem well get some out to you ASAP and to send them back the originals. Another week and half goes by and I then received the bulbs and installed that day. Not even 1 week goes by when my driver side light goes out. So being an intelligent person I tested the HID bulb and ballast with the other side and found the ballast to be defective. I then used a old Ballast so that I would have operating headlights. A week later the other side burns out.
I then sent a very detailed E-mail to SUVLIGHTS.COM as you will read below,
"I trust that you have received my package and found that I sent back the correct bulbs. You have been very accommodating in regards to my last purchase and I would never want to jeopardize a good business relationship, especially when it comes to future purchases and warranty claims. This brings me to my next point. Both of the ballasts in the new X2020 kit have burned out. I have tested and swapped bulbs and ballast with my old X2020 kit and found the new bulbs you sent to be operational. Do I need RA # to ship the two bad ballasts back to you? Im puzzled how this could have happened so soon and appreciate your help in this matter."
I tried asking for a RA# as it states on their website and all I got back was an E-mail that said "DONE".... So I assumed it was ok to send them the defective units. A few weeks went by and I had yet to receive any replacement parts or had any communication from the company. So I send another E-mail with the tracking number and I got back this.
