I was lured into sutra Beauty Bar in Brea Mall with a free sample. Their employee then applied a skin product to my under eye area and then exclaimed that my results were amazing! She told me the cost was over $400.00, I told her I wasnt interested. She told me the product had all natural ingredients. I still wasn't sold.. She said, " but your results are so amazing." I still said , "no." She then took me to a sink to use a salt scrub on my hands and said she would give me the salt scrub for free. She then started putting produts in a bag, I reminded her, I had not agreed to buy anything yet. She then repeated that the ingredients were all natural and also added that it would last me 2 1/2 years. I still didn't agree. So then she said they were offering a free $900.00 facial if i bought the product. And then she went on about the facial and how it was only being offered at this time. I finally agreed. So she rang me up and took my credit card. She never told me all sales were final, nor did I see a sign. She asked to schedule my facial, I gave her a date and then she acted distracted and said, why dont I see if I can get our facialist to talk to you. So she didn't schedule anything. Next this guy comes out and starts asking me how important skin care was on a scale from 1 to 10. I couldnt really say, I dont usually spend alot of money on skin care and just do basics. Then he asked what I didnt like about my skin or face. So then he starts putting another product on my face and I'm thinking what now. So he goes on about how it is a instant face lift, blah, blah, blah. He asks me to guess the price, I say $400.00. He laughs and tells me it is $2,000.00. I say I cant afford that, no way. He shows me before and after pictures of a supposed client. We go back and forth for a while, then he says he will give it to me at his price and throw in a facial wash for free. The price is over $200.00 and I buy it. I discover later my two purchases come out to exactly $700.00 even to the penny, kind of strange, dont think it was a coincidence. So I go home and wash off both products. the last one left blotchy white spots on my face and neck which he insisted I keep on so it can do its magic. The other product under my eye felt tight and in different lighting, you could see a film over your skin. Anyway, after I washed away the product under my eye, it looked horrible! It was dry, saggy and wrinklely. Compared to my other eye which had no product, it looked as if it had aged 10 times over! I decided right there and then I wasnt going to use that product again. I'm not sure if it was an allergic reaction or if this is what this product does to your skin which didn't seem like a good thing to me. So i take out the receipts and see it says at the bottm "All sales are Final or may trade for other products or services." So now I'm thinking i"m sunk. I'm stuck with 2 products I'm not going to use. So I'm out $700.00 with nothing to show for it. And at this point I know I've been scammed, they basically said whatever it took to get my money. I decide to contact them and speak with a woman who told me she was their facialist and is their only one (so who was this guy that sold me that last product). She actually was very nice and said I would have to deal with the manager. She contacted him and returned my call. She said he was not available that Friday evening or the following Saturday, but I could see him on Sunday. So I call on Sunday and speak with a different woman. The manager is not in. So I ask when will he be in, she doesnt know. I ask, could she find out. She says she will call me back. Two 1/2 hours pass, no call. So I call back, Im a bit upset. She claims she called me back and I didn't pick up, but it's a cell phone which shows if you missed a call plus I had been carrying my phone everywhere with me to make sure I didn't miss the call. Anyway, she then tells me, he won't be in today, but he can see you tomorrow (Monday) at 1:00. I tell her that's not possible, because i have a job and have to go to work. So I tell her "can't he just call me and discuss this matter. If he chooses to give me a refund which is what I want, THEN I can come in. If he"s not going to help me, why should I come in. It can all be settled over the phone." So I ask to have him call me instead. He doesn't call me that day or acrually ever. I did go back once more to the store to see if there actually was a "All Sales are Final" sign. I had to look for it. It is a small sign in a maybe 4" X 6" frame with 4 or 5 lines of small print that can not easily be seen or read, which I think is what they are trying to acheive. Plus since it is in a frame, it can be easily removed and then replaced. I have never used, opened these products or the packaging. I just want a refund and to return these products. I want nothing to do with these products, their services, their staff or their store, ever again!
