SuperMoto Italia Reviews

  • Jun 2, 2017

I was surfing the internet to find a Ducati dealer to call my new home. I'm new to the area and very excited to be adding another Ducati rocket to my arsenal. I'm very surprised to have come across the following thread when searching for a reputable Ducati dealer in the area. However, I'm glad I did.

I must ask, how much is your identity worth? Mine is not worth purchasing anything from this shop. As you can read in the aforementioned link, Joseph G. Tortora-OWNER of Ducati dealer Supermoto Italia, will paste your private information all over anywhere he deems fit. Do you really want to take the chance on this man pasting your information all over the internet, becuase you purchased something and he believes he can? ID theft is on the rise, and most theifs only need is a small pathway or piece of information to place your credit down so far you can't even buy groceries with cash. I don't care if I was the winner of a free bike, I would not take the chance on this shop having my private information. Trust me, it's not worth it.

What was very surprising to me is the treatment this owner, of the dealership (Supermoto Italia), also known as a Ducati representative, toward a past patron. This website offers consumers the opportunity to freely voice their experiences, AND rather than acknowledge his opportunity for recovery, Joseph G. Tortora, OWNER OF DUCATI DEALERSHIP Supermoto Italia in St. James, NY, attemtped to defame and BULLY his previous patron. Please notice that the original author(s), --for all anyone knows it was probably a group of individuals this delaership pissed off and they all got together and wrote it-- however, said author merely expressed the experience he encountered, only to provide an idea of what anyone else may expect. Attacks were not made toward the dealership, nor were any directed at Joseph G. Tortora, OWNER of Supermoto Italia Ducati. However, Joseph G. Tortora, OWNER of Supermoto Italia Ducati, retorted by calling the author(s) names like: "psychitzophrenic."

All I can say is a purchase is exactly what it is, it's a purchase. It's a 1-time event, and normally backed by an emotional drive; especially when you're purchasing something you're very excited to acquire. After the purchase is made, you're left with service visits. With a specialized bike, service will be completed at the same dealer. If you read about more specialized bikes, Ducati being one of them, occassionally the Service department at the dealership falls short. When this occurs, you're going to have to speak with the Service Manager, and then the owner-if the owner deems he will come out and address you or return your calls.

In short, if Joseph G. Tortora, OWNER of Supermoto Italia Ducati, treated this review like this, how do you think he will treat you? Notice, he did not once address any of the shortcomings in a professional manner; befitting of a representative of a brand such as Ducati. If you get your bike back from his shop, and it's not up to par, are you prepared to be insulted, demeaned and called names, rather than told the shop is going to work with you to make it right? Reflective of Joseph G. Tortora's response (OWNER of Supermoto Italia), if his shop makes a mistake, there is a possiblity that they will deny they made said mistake and blame it on you.

Furthermore, how are all of these "patrons" popping out of the wood work only to berate Jonathan, Stanley, Hezikiah, Jamall, or whomever wrote the original post? You find the standard line: I've only had great experiences at this dealership, and then the attacks on the author/cyber bullying begins. You've made purchases at this establishment and you FREQUENT the shop, however you didn't have the phone number anywhere so you found your way to this website? Really? Well that's believable...

Well Andy G., unlike you, I have no friends. I ride alone and enjoy my life. Most of my bikes have special edition numbered plates on them, but I am compelled to write this post to make other aware of the extreme unprofessionalism displayed by you and the rest of your cohort. I personally would like to thank you, Joe and everyone he had respond and attack the authors of said article. I will be taking my business to another Ducati dealer. Joe, it was brought up that you served as an officer. I know many officers, and the way you conducted yourself would probably land you on traffic duty. Your replies were not only rude and immature, but highly unprofessional. Any business you have lost is due to your actions, and the way you treat others. I won't get into the who "Protect and Serve" bit, however there is an obvious reason why Ducati New York is the preferred dealer in your area. I would encourage you to step inside Ducati New York's showroom, and experince proper customer service grouped with an amazing Ducati experience. You can even find it on their website, and the individuals there WANT you to become part of their family.

PS Joe, It's 2017 and your website is still promoting models from 2011. Are you actually a legitimate Ducati dealer?
